Brilliant performance from Leek today, every player giving 110%, could have and probably should have been 4 or 5, anyone watching would think it was Leek who were sitting joint top 2 leagues above the opposition!! And they were also full time players too!

I went to Winsford against Abbey Hey.
A great game tbh. Winsford are second bottom, Abbey Hey are third.
It ended 3-2 to Abbey Hey who scored a 90th minute penalty that only the linesman saw.
I decided to walk there from Sandbach because why not, pissed wet through but it was worth it.
Winsford were the better team I thought but just couldn’t convert their chances. The pitch was heavy and there was some bloody good tackles going in.
6 quid to get in. 3.50 for some chips and Bovril.
Can’t beat it.

I was at Hednesford v chasetown derby yesterday.went to the game at widnes on Saturday played at a soulless stadium the rugby team use aswel an we got a real battering so was expecting the worst against chasetown who had won 3 an drawn 1 so far but we put in a really improved performance an managed to get a point in a 1-1 draw.a fantastic crowd of 1486 there to go with the 700 and 600 so far at home this season and both the away games at Newcastle and widnes we have outnumbered the home fans so it's great to see the fans getting behind the club in our current situation. I really enjoyed visiting Hednesford for the first time last week against Kidsgrove. Excellent set up there and will definitely come back. Very nice to go through those turnstiles from the Victoria Ground. Turnstiles from the Victoria Ground?? I live in Hednesford and never knew this

Turnstiles from the Victoria Ground?? I live in Hednesford and never knew this Staff at the club told me this. That’s fantastic to know, a piece of the Vic living on. I moved down here a couple of years ago but haven’t ventured to a game or anything, I should go tbh to support the area.

Yeah just signed for Leek this season, he's a very good player, probably the best right back Leek have had in a while! ex stoke player Julius Ndene signed this season...he's qualiy too!

Leek have been drawn at AFC Fylde in the FA Cup 4th qualifying round. No Stoke game, so a banging ground hop and an intriguing tie. Well worth it this one.

Difficult and disappointing draw for Leek, although Fylde have struggled so far this season, 3 divisions between them, that's a big gap. Leek must be the lowest ranking team left in the comp?

Yes Leek are the lowest ranked team left in the cup, can't wait for this one...and have a sneaky suspicion I will see a few familiar faces in the away end as Stoke are not playing! Should be a cracking away day👍

Leek should receive around 1000 tickets...well that's what the away end holds + seats, not sure how many we will sell but really looking forward to this one...should be a cracker!

Would love to see them in First Round proper. Makes you realise that it is a momentous effort for an 8th Tier to even reach the First Round of the FA Cup. 3rd Round is really like a Fairy Story! I'm just wondering how many (if any) 8th Tier teams have reached the 3rd Round??? edit. apparently last was Chasetown (same level as Leek now), who got the 3rd Round in 2007/08 and played Cardiff

I had certainly forgotten about chasetown getting that far, and this last weekend has made me realise just how difficult it is for non league teams to reach the first round! It's something I just never thought about watching Stoke over the years! The FA cup really is magical!

Chasetown knocked out Port Vale on their run to the 3rd round.

Went to Nantwich today against Kidsgrove who were top of the league before the game (no idea if they are now).
Nantwich won 3-1 and fully deserved it too.
Another cracking game and some good goals.

I went Hanley v Northwich. Cracking game with Hanley running out 4-2 winners. Luke Walsh excellent. Scored 2, quick and technically very good. Saul Shotton a bit of a beast in the midfield. A real presence and can play too. £10 so top value 👍🏽

Leek knocked out the FA cup at Fylde 3-1, got an equaliser 2nd half but lost to 2 late goals. Shame it would have been great to see them make the 1st round proper. Macclesfield also dumped out today by the same score at Alfreton

Went to Witton v Clitheroe. Really enjoyable game in swirling conditions. Game of two halves, Witton dominated first half with Tom Pope scoring a cracking team goal, but second half Clitheroe pinned them back and a last minute wonder strike gave them the pints.
About 450 there including 28 Clitheroe fans (my son counted them).
Great little non-league ground, shame it’s stuck on an industrial estate on the edge of town……….

Witton and Northwichs old ground used to be in the town. Witton sold up to sainsburys and moved to there current home. As for Northwich, they also sold the Drill field, moved to the opposite side of the river to Witton, got kicked out, owner was dodgy, new ground got demolished and the club split into two, Northwich Vics and 1874 Northwich. Both teams groundshare with other clubs, ironically the Vics share with Witton. They need to get there act together and join forces and their own ground and start again. Shame as they were one of the top non league teams like stafford in the 80s.

If its the club the name Dominoes was chosen by the originators of the club who were the St Dominic’s Catholic Church Scout group in Stone. If its my username its from a 60s private eye thriller series, but also relates to the fact i work around the country, hence i use a suitcase a lot 😀

I was at Newcastle Town v Stalybridge Celtic. I was attracted by the prospect of watching an away team who I'd actually heard of visiting the Lyme Valley Stadium!
The game finished 3-4, but Castle were unlucky to lose. Ex Stokie and recent TV star Scott Wara scored a last minute winner. Stalybridge brought a noisy little band of followers with them, and there was plenty of needle during the game- players constantly at it and the managers offering each other on at one point.
Newcastle look better than they have done for a few seasons. They might even manage a year of mid-table obscurity rather than the relegation scrambles they've been in for the last couple of years.
I took my lad with me, who I tend to have to drag to Stoke matches to be honest. He loved it at Newcastle and wants to go again. Says something when Northern Premier League West Division games, the 8th tier of football, are more appealing than watching a Championship team.

I saw Northwich Vics play recently as well and they were Absolutely terrible…..
