Local to me. Rushall Olympic v Banbury United. Finished 1-1 and was a well fought game from both sides.
The week before, Rushall played Scunthorpe at home and Scunny brought over 700 away fans. Fantastic support. Was great to see.

Watched them a few times last season and they were excellent but faded badly with about 6/7 games left and missed out on the play offs. This season they've appointed Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley as joint managers (ex-Salford) and they've bought a few of their own players in. They looked superb today, knocked it around like Brazil at times. 2,338 there as well (lots of FC United fans) which is a record, they average around 700/800 normally.......... |

I'm going to knock a few Stoke away games on the head (getting more and more difficult anyway as I coach) and tick a few more grounds off the list this season. Not done Sheffield FC yet but I'm off to North Ferriby v Ossett in a couple of weeks............ All well and good beating Stone Old Alleynians and Uttoxeter , but there's some good old fashioned non league club's in Hanleys league now who are experienced at them levels and above, Stalybridge, Nantwich, Hednesford etc, In fact Hanley had a better team when they were in the Midland League. |

Derbyshire, but Sheffield not too far away from me, and Sheffield FC have been playing in Derbyshire for some years now in Dronfield. They have been planning on moving back into Sheffield for a while, seems a very slow, drawn out process though. |

To be honest I think it's about timing and enjoying retirement with Bakes, and to be honest and I watch them a lot...Leek seem to have lost the fight since being god knows how many points clear in COVID! Although it's a sad time as he has been a great manager I actually think it is needed! Kidsgrove have always been a solid side in this league and seem to have added well! They may, just may take some beating...added to that most the solid sides have gone, Worthington, Macc etc...but knowing this league it will be wide open come the end of season! |
