Loads of Stoke stuff as you can imagine and even a dig about never dealing with Tony Scholes.

Why are they interviewing him in 1986?

Will give it a watch post work
Can't wait to see how long he can string that painfully unfunny Ric away at Wolves anecdote, will be really disappointed if there's not extra flourishes added in from the previous 1000 times he's told that one

You probably want to miss the first 5 minutes of rather awkward 'bants' between the boys in the studio but once the great man arrives its fabulous stuff!

If anyone's not listened/watched Dicko's episode, it's fucking brilliant. His impression of TP is uncanny.

His thoughts on Saido were interesting. If only we'd asked his opinion before spunking a fortune on the biggest waste of space to have ever pulled on a Stoke shirt.

Great listen. For all his faults, he really did care about this club.

He didn’t like Tony Scholes did he!
Enjoyable podcast. A lot of rehashed stories but a good listen.

Tony Pulis was Stoke and Stoke was Tony Pulis. It was a match made in heaven but sadly all good things come to an end.

The Coates family are Stoke and Stoke is the Coates family, more like. And that’s both why we were so good 5-6 years ago and in a bit of state now.

TP was the football extension of the Coates family in those days - I doubt they had many issues

Decent listen. Maybe a bit samey if you're a Stoke fan as you've heard most of it before. I would have been a lot more interested in his career from beginning to end, but maybe with the controversies that have followed him around certain places, they were asked not to bring that up.

He must've laughed his cock off, and who could blame him. I’d be very surprised/disappointed if he harbored ill feeling to the club. We gave him the tools and funds to make a name for himself.

I didn't mean it in terms of harboring ill-feeling, more of the incredulity that some numbnuts would offer £12m to take him off his hands.

Very interesting question…we obviously didn’t ask his opinion BUT he did speak to Peter as a friend and advised him against wasting his money on Saido….Unfortunately Peter let John, Scholes, Cartwright & Hughes get on with it and didn’t want to get involved. He’s been Chairman in name only for along time…10 years I guess!

Look at the personal rivalry involved , very telling statement in the piece about who he didn’t deal with , and who he did tell to be careful and who he let know he was interested in Wimmer its all about a personal challenge between . Key protagonists and we got truly shafted due to the abject incompetence of our man .
