No, and in any event I expect he has more to worry about since he is no doubt now unemployed like all the rest of us since yesterday’s budget has caused mass unemployment and a run on the pound, eh Knype? Who has said that? You did 😉 Thought you would welcome a bit of slack on the jobs market -fewer jobs, less economic immigration. Yeah, redundancies, no pay rises, low spending will be great for the economy!

Who has said that? Knype (you) said on the budget thread: “Redundancies will soon follow on from this shambolic attack on the private sector!” “Fact. You wait and see. Unemployment will go through the roof, no-one will be setting people on.” “How are we going to grow the economy when the private sector is getting walloped?” “Yeah, redundancies, no pay rises, low spending will be great for the economy!” All a bit doom and gloom. I added to the doom by mentioning a run on the pound. What’s the redundancy count so far?

Dear me!

N I increases in April 2025 so ....... around then So you think a 1.2% increase to NI contributions on pay above the threshold will lead to mass redundancies!? If 1.2% makes that much difference I suspect they were going to be letting that employee go anyway!

Two genuine icons that’ll be forever learnt in history lessons world wide I wouldn't bank on that with how the world is going mate. If Nige referred to himself as they or them and plastered himself in make-up he may have a chance but he's never going to do that.

I admire your patience Oggy The Hospitality industry is probably the most Labour intensive e.g. Wages accounting for about 30% of costs. 30% of 1.2% is about a 0.4% increase in costs At Corporation Tax of 25% which is offset by the 0.4% in increased costs results in a 0.3% reduction in profits Do people have any fucking idea about the claims they are making

It's a problem his people understand so well and promise not to do it again.

seems to be a few charities , GP's , dentists etc kicking off today , ..... are they suggesting job losses (possible consequence) or just saying they will have fewer outlets etc , don't know . small construction company i know has forecast extra £40k a year increase in salary costs , another bloke i know might be better off by £60 a month . costs will be passed onto customers ( + markup % presumably ) therefore inflation going to go up down the line .
just thought , why is this on the immigration thread ?
