30k people arriving on small boats 0 people sent to Rwanda despite 100s of millions spent on the policy and counting. Only 4% of asylum seeker claims from those arriving on small boats processed in 12 months. Immigration at record levels.
Yes that's right out of the 30k which have already arrived on small board this year. Only 1200 have their asylum application processed. That is 28800 people arriving on small ships that haven't been dealt with an a year. That us the tax payer are paying for.
This Conservative party has allowed immigration to get out of control and out of hand. They have no plan or idea how to tackle it and like everything else, they've just made the problems worse this last 12 years.
If you care about protecting our countries borders then we need this Conservative government out ASAP.
Ridiculous that some people still support this party which allow people to arrive on our borders and do nothing to deal with it.

What is ridiculous is that just about every sector of the UK economy is reporting shortages of labour and yet all the bright sparks in government seem able to do is keep these people locked up instead of allowing them to get trained up, get jobs, start paying taxes and generally making a contribution to the country they have struggled hard to get to.

Let asylum seekers work whilst their application is processed, we have hundreds of thousands of unfilled jobs it's economically and morally the right thing to do...............

I agree with what you're saying which is essentially why processing the asylum applications is critical and 4% in a year is pathetic. I don't think they should just be allowed to work without being processed though. Unless there was some sort of public service role they could do within the realms of their accommodation while waiting to be processed. Like a community service so to speak. What's clear though is that the current system is failing and the tories have no idea how to sort it.

Sweden has an excess supply of labour, so it might be wrong to follow our example?! 🤔

Surely that would attract more potential immigration and perilous journeys for all involved if they thought jobs were on offer?? The perilous journeys are often caused by there being no legal route into the country for a large number of immigrants, a number of strategically placed processing centres outside the country would help with that. There would be a period of time before they could work of course, in countries like Portugal and Switzerland it's currently around 2/3 months, in the likes of Denmark, Belgium, Italy and Spain it's 6 months. It might only be relatively low paid, "low skilled" work but if the need is there and there's a workforce to fill it I think it makes sense. What we have to remember is that despite the media's attempts to whip things up the numbers coming over are still relatively small in the grand scheme of things, certainly compared to other parts of Europe and the world..........

International law says people seeking asylum should apply in the first country they arrive at that is safe. why then does everyone get to the uk after passing through the likes of Greece,Italy, France or Spain? and of course when they get here and can get processed the leeches that are solicitors rub their hands together for another pay day dragging it out forever when people are refused asylum. and how can the Albanian “refugees” get away with it?

In the case of the Albanians, once they're here they're our 'problem'. They are not fleeing persecution, they're economically migrating here, because they fancy it. In cases like theirs, we need a system whereby we have planes on standby, running 3x times a week or whatever's needed, and you're quickly processed, and sent back whence you came, no fucking around.

I’m talking about economic migrants from Albania, Romania, Lithuania etc. they’re not seeking asylum they’re seeking money and prosperity

As a solicitor, I can tell you now that if you want to make money and be a “leech” as you say, don’t be an immigration lawyer acting for asylum seekers! They have a 76% success rate at achieving asylum for their clients by applying the laws created by our government. Why does it make them a leech? As you must be aware because of the claims you make about leeches etc in your post, appeals in many immigration decisions are now prohibited. So you have to judicially review a government decision if you wish to appeal, and Priti Patel’s Home Office set new records for the amount of failed judicial reviews she lost. It’s because her department broke the law. We take in very few asylum seekers or refugees each year compared to most of Europe. So it is not surprising other countries don’t strictly monitor or prevent people seeking asylum to particular countries, especially if they have connections there (or we are partially responsible for the reason they meed to seek asylum - Iraq, Afghanistan for example). My solution creates a legal and safe way for genuine refugees and asylum seekers to come here.

To be fair no one has a clue how to sort it out. I do. Allow people to seek asylum from France. Make it a quick process. Then watch crossings reduce. France, and Germany, have significantly more people seeking asylum than the UK. In fact if you look at the number of asylum seekers as a percentage of population the UK is only 19th highest in Europe. France, and the rest of Europe, are taking their fair share of the strain.

This country as it stands is being turned into a cesspit of crime from overseas. That is a fact

2.5 million more foreign-born residents in England/Wales since 2011. And I thought the Conservative party were the ones who were tough on immigration?
Most of the foreign-born residents are of Indian descent too which interestingly the Tory party only last year signed a deal with the India to make immigration easier.
"This landmark agreement with our close partners in the government of India will provide new opportunities to thousands of young people in the UK and India seeking to live, work and experience each other’s cultures. This agreement will also ensure that the British government can remove those with no right to be in UK more easily and crackdown on those abusing our system." - Priti Patel
Still though so many people get gas lit by this tory government and believe that they're sorting the immigration issues when in reality it's quite the opposite.
You know the most interesting thing about this story though. Check the daily mail, daily express and the times websites. You'll struggle to find any article about it on the front page and these are the papers which love to discuss immigration issues.

I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention in the media! Madeline McCann goes missing in Portugal and we hear about her every day for near a decade. 220 migrant children go missing and barely a whisper! How the heck do 220 children go missing? Why is this not headline news? Why are they not releasing pictures of them or anything or seemingly making any attempt to search for them?
