Very powerful stuff from the knife lead for the U.K. Who made him 'knife lead'? Not that knife crime isn't obviously very important but there's something that kills 20 times more people every single year in this country that nobody sems to want to talk about, especially politicians š¤· Iād say with his experience heās better qualified than most to have an opinion. He nails it in the interview and comes up with some excellent solutions.

Rumours of Sadiq Khan's demise were greatly exaggerated - Mark TwainĀ He smashed it. And great to see the lib dems win the south west London assembly seat, where the incumbent Tories were also beaten by Labour.

Susan Hall is a very sore loser! I donāt get why the Tories thought sheād get them votes. Sheās a dinosaur with little charisma which is a real vote winner. Theyāll have to up their game next time with someone younger and more in tune with what the majority of Londoners want.

Knife lead for the UK my arse!
He's nothing more than a pitiful grifter, who realised, that by exploiting his time in the London Transport Police and adopting a host of right wing soundbites, he could quickly make himself a few quid.
He's been at it for twenty years, indeed as far back as 2003, the Police Federation said this about him ...
The association that represents 135,000 officers, does not share his views and wrote 18 months ago to news organisations saying PC Brennan does not represent anyone's views but his own. One federation member said: "He causes a huge amount of irritation. He gives outrageous soundbites and simplistic solutions to complex issues. I don't think he represents the views of many officers."
One of Mr. Brennan's latest, considered tweets this evening ...
He's an absolute charlatan, pandering to a very specific audience, who lap it up, it seems.
Fair play to him, I guess ...

Iād still say he has more experience of knife crime and the more dangerous sides of London than the experts on here so is more qualified than most and he lives in London too most importantly. His twitter feeds Iām sure are no more or less reliable than some on the many other threads that are treated as gospel.

Well I suppose he does have that going for him but I thought you didn't place much stock in what the actual residents of London have to say about the place Cobs?

The best thing about Khan winning is all the dick heads like Laurence Fox and Calvin Robinson saying they're moving out of London, it's just become a slight more desirable place to live overnight..........

Yes, it did look like it was a made up title attempting to confer some element of authority at first glance. I couldn't really see it being anything else but thought I'd check. As you say, probably works for his target audience.

Ultimately he won the vote so he deserves to be mayor again but thereās a few things of note
As often is bought up with the Tories and the general elections. Less people wanted him in than didnāt.
In the last year MOMs figures have shown that knife crime has gone up by 20 percent.
Heās currently working under a pretty hopeless government. When Labour (his party) get in it could be his biggest test yet. Over his previous 2 terms heās frequently used the government as a get out of jail card when challenged. Itāll be interesting to see how he does if he has to blame his own party when thereās problems.
As is frequently pointed out I no longer live or work in London (still visit) so I canāt have a relevant view however what I would say is bookmark this post as Iāll be very interested to see how the next few years pan out.
Thereās nothing more that Iād like than to see than the pointless killings / knife crime go down (I have no real issue with anything else in London) however I do see things getting worse before they get better. Thereās so much work that needs to be done before we see a turnaround.
London is a great city and Mr Khan should look on his role as a privilege. The city itself is the best in the world itās the outer parts (not Richmond / Blackheath) that need the investment. You can have all the fireworks displays in the world but they donāt save peopleās lives.

You can have all the fireworks displays in the world but they donāt save peopleās lives. We both know what's driving the knife crime and violence, only the government can do anything about that and sadly I don't see Labour being any more enlightened than the Tories about the issue. I would expect to see an increase in gun crime in the upcoming years, Khan (whoever was Mayor in all fairness) will doubtless get the rap for that too. I'd imagine the Mayor of 1920's Chicago got similar criticism, they wouldn't have been able to do anything either.
