Of course because when Khan goes, all knives will miraculously disappear from our capital city!!!! Probably not, but hope the new mayor has a plan, cuz Khan doesn't.

All the help for mental illnesses have been taken away in the 14 years of government austerity.People need to take a good hard look at thmeselves, take a step back and just think about the cosequences of their decisions/voting in politics, because as much as people think it doesnt matter ,it most certainly does. All to save the bankers, all those years ago.

However the buck has to stop somewhere and Khan is the mayor of London so I'm going for him first. That said the tories have made an absolute mess of the police force in general. The amount of police leaving the force is a very big concern in an increasingly violent world...

Yep including thieving the surpluses from the two thirds pension schemes, probably for the same reason.

Absolutely appaling events in London today, wish they’d of shot the bastard in the head and have done with. I’d happily see him hung. Anyway Rip to the poor lad and hope the injured aren’t to badly effected and make a speedy recovery, what a world we live with in🙄

I’m not even sure what can be done to prevent this, I’m pretty sure this type of weapon is already banned ? it doesn’t stop these events from happening, the only person that is to blame is the perpetrator.
If it turns out this guy was a schizophrenic then maybe we need to reopen the lunatic asylums that have been closed ? Seems to be an awful lot of unhinged people wondering about the streets these days!

Labour regulated the banks. The tories were fuming and wanted no regulations. The lib dems were the only party to call on tougher regulations. The crash would have been worse with fewer protective regulations had the tories been in charge.

I wonder how many would change their tune if it was their loved ones getting fucking killed. It's about using the extremely limited police resources that we have available, as wisely as possible. From the article linked ... "In London stop and search has fallen by 54 per cent since 2010, but the use of a more intelligence-led, targeted approach has led to thousands more arrests."
