Football fans celebrating a cup win I believe. English fans of course never celebrate, wave flags, drink, cause havoc in cities across the globe.........

Not the best source though is it The lefts equivalent of the Mail The subtle difference being the 76% that visit the Guardian website believing it as opposed to less than half that visit the Mail's. With very good reason, they make lots of shit up.

That Guardian article is so obviously lefty biased it's absolutely stupid to call it "essential reading". It's about as balanced a viewpoint as any article in the Daily Mail.
As for "76% that visit the Guardian website believe it", that could well just be down to the type of people who actually visit the website. Nothing there to prove (or disprove) it's any more accurate (or false) than the Daily Mail or any other newspaper.

I doubt any survey has been, or could be done in all reality, that proved how 'accurate' or otherwise newspaper reports are, I do know for a fact that the Daily Mail make things up but that's just 'personal experience'. What can be, and has been done is a survey to gauge what percentage of the public actually 'believe' them. 76% believe the Guardian website, 47% believe the Mail website.

Last week spent 3 days working in North London, stayed over for a day to visit the British Museum, lots of 2nd hand book shops and the British Library and discovered some really nice parks I hadn't previously visited.
Great resources and very enjoyable. Amazingly no murders or muggings encountered. Must have been my lucky day!
Only thing I would say is still feels like too much car pollution and I wouldn't drink the tap water.

It's difficult to put steps in place without pricing people out of the capital who can't avoid car travel but it's ironic that most of the posts on this thread are about knife crime when pollution is a far bigger killer in the city, and it generally affects the poor and working class who live right on the busy North Circular, Westway or in other high polluted areas. And yeah we don't realise how lucky we are when it comes to tap water in the Staffordshire/Cheshire/Greater Manchester area, no need to buy bottled water around there..........

I'm not sure why anyone left wing would read the Guardian? It's a liberal shit rag that deserves to go bust. And I wouldn't even wipe my arse with the Daily Mail.............

Approximately 250 a year in the whole of England and Wales die through stabbing - www.statista.com/statistics/978830/knife-homicides-in-england-and-wales/Last year pretty much twice that figure died thanks to drug prohibition in London alone - www.standard.co.uk/news/health/london-drug-death-poisoning-rate-synthetic-opioid-office-for-national-statistics-england-b1127959.htmlLondon has one of the lower drug overdose rates per million.

Conversely then it's surely reasonable to assume that those that read the Daily Mail are right wing? Turns out even they dont believe it 🤦😂

I really have no idea and I think I must have caught thick from somewhere 🤷🏻 because I'm struggling to see what discernible difference it makes to the results of the survey.

if you're loaded and a leftie and you read the guardian and , i assume you have to be a subsciber to take part in the survey ? then surely your struggle to notice how it makes a difference to the results of the survey is answered .

So your first assumption is that you have to be a subscriber and your second assumption is that the survey was run by the Guardian? Unfortunately, both assumptions are incorrect, inconveniently for followers of the gospel according to the Daily Mail, people who believe it are in a minority in an independent study - www.ofcom.org.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0027/241947/News-Consumption-in-the-UK-2022-report.pdfI know it's only 'evidence' but I also have 'personal experience' to back up my assertion that they make shit up 🙂

It’s worse in Cleveland remember Really interesting video. Good to see the Met and community working together. Some good charities being started by ex gang members too. They’re not burying their heads in the sand. Officer nails it re S and S. It’s not the results it’s a deterant. That can’t be measured.
