We'll still need to sack him and pay him off but I can see him going to the spl and our board not feeling too bad about cutting ties with their pal if there's another job lined up, that he actually wants to do.

I seriously doubt there is another club on this earth that would pay him anywhere near that. Which is one of the reasons I think the "plan" (as discussed on one of the parallel threads) is to cross fingers, hope we finish above 22nd, wait for the contract to run down, and then not renew it.

Could well seeing that being the plan. The way things are going though they'll have a decision to make before the end of September.

The axe won't fall till its to late meaning relegation or nobody out there willing to take the job. Remember this SCFC & we don't do things like other clubs. We always wait till its far to late.

Thats an incredibly fucking dangerous plan though. If it failed, there’s no telling the damage it could cause the club.

League One is under-rated/competitive/quality/great/change of scenery/there's big teams down there.

Scoring 5 goals in 5 games with.. Gayle, Delap, Campbell, DWP, Brown, Fosu, Baker to name a few, gets the axe closer to the jugular

Each time the manager brings in a new player, the board will give him extra time to integrate those players. He's bought 12 so he's earned himself another 12 months in the job, which also ties in with the length of his contract, so, as I've said many times, he's got the most secure job outside of Klopp's and Pep's, and even they are under more pressure than M'ON is.
The balance of the board supporting him could be upset if we lost 20 on the trot, or if we lost several games heavily, like 6-0s. Another factor is if it became clear that the players weren't playing for him anymore, which however hasn't been obvious at any time during his tenure.
Before any axing takes place though he will have been offered a new position at the club, which he will have accepted gladly.

I honestly thought MoN had arrested what has been (by any measure) a decline of biblical proportions. Sadly, I think it is quite conceivable that we have yet to hit the bottom.

Well he seems closer to the role of an accountant than he is a football manager that's for sure!😎

Well if mad Nath comes back up and turns us over again at our place, you would think that it could happen even earlier. Especially if we get tonked at Blackburn next Saturday.

No way will he be sacked...this season we'll just go through the motions, finish about 17th then a new manager next summer when his contracts up.. playing with fire in the hope there will be 3 worse teams than us to save us paying him up, a calculated gamble but I've already got my head around the fact that this is a bit of a nothing season.

This does not make any sense when the club is publicly open about their promotion ambitions and are providing the manager with bucket loads of new players every window.

He'll do a couple of years at the top of the Premier League and then take over at Old Trafford to get them back up to Div.1 before he retires to Cannes!

May 2022 should have been the correct date, if money is a problem why have we signed so many players.

Could be any time. First international break in September probably the favourite, but would think he needs a win in the next three - and a loss at Reading would be hard to get though. 3 game week in the run up to the break. At home to Nathan of Nazareth and two tricky looking away games at Hull and QPR. He'll be under huge pressure if we dont take some decent points there and it would give the new bloke a fortnight to work with the bulk of the squad if they have someone lined up. That's all a bit Fantasy Island stuff with our board though isn't it. Nathan of Nazareth😂

He’s definitely getting over 1 mill, don’t know why else he would leave a Natl Team job to manage a 2nd rate club

No wins from the next three and I think his time will be up, win one convincingly and he'll probably hold on for quite a while longer unfortunately while pointing out he was right and what he needed was time blah blah blah
