Looks like Boro might have a bit to spend if they get £15m for Spence, and another 8 figures for Tavernier, who's been linked with a few Premier clubs. Wilder could do a lot with that.

Batth was actually let go because of sticking up for Surridge in training. Apparently O'Neil was always having a go at Surridge in training blaming him for everything (don't know why maybe because of how much money he had spent on him). Batth stuck up for him in one training session saying everyone else was just a culpable and the rest is history. Tbf neither were a big loss. Batth didn't do as bad as people made out when he played this season but we absolutely did the right thing in moving on. How do you know that…? Not having a go but just curious…. Someone I know who works in football who was spoke with Surridges agent.

It’s not a reasoned argument though. It’s delusional. At every point MON has tried his best not to play Batth. Batth can’t play football, MON wants footballers at the back. It’s that simple. He was let go because he didn’t fit what was needed and we then signed a better player. You won’t debate back though. Just insult as per and it’s pretty pathetic and actually that comment is cruel and very unnecessary given you haven’t actually supplied an argument back. Which is just great. Can't agree re Batth's performances, he was dire but a lot of that down to the tactics and expecting Batth to pass a ball.

I wondered the same as I've heard nothing along those lines before. You would think it would have rumoured when they both left.

Batth was let go because he was on decent money and not playing Same with Davies Doesn't mean the other stuff isn't true mind

Batth can't play in the system MON wanted, he isn't good enough at passing, has this become a debate all of a sudden? Wilmot isn't good at passing, in fact he's wank!!! Okaaaaaay.

Would take Christie, Hector and Mawson in a flash. We've been loosely linked with two of them previously haven't we?

A left footed centre back would be great but we seem to have none in the group we have. Less important in a back 4 but crucial with 3 at the back, I think!
What about Mee from Burnley...out of contract and left footed?

Keane won't drop to the Championship. He was in the England squad fairly recently, although I've no idea how.

How do you know that…? Not having a go but just curious…. Someone I know who works in football who was spoke with Surridges agent. There's so much crap that's nowhere near the truth written on this forum that I rarely believe any of these rumours. Sometimes it's funny how far things are from the truth.

Seri is also a decent player and I'd take him here big wages ? Can’t not be, you don’t sign for a club for £25M to be paid peanuts. Have we learned nothing from keep signing players on a downward curve?

Someone I know who works in football who was spoke with Surridges agent. We moved him on to save wages, didn't we ? We sold him because he was a liability. The opposition let him have ball as they knew he'd give them possession or drop a bollock and give them a chance. He could not possibly play in a MON team.

He could not possibly play in a MON team. Most of the stuff he got praised for was recovering from his own cock ups. Aerially good but with the ball on the ground an accident looking for somewhere to happen. What’s with the sold? Did we actually get money for him.
