Expect gas prices to rise even more State of this country relying on Russia for gas… North sea of Scotland no good 🤷♂️ Many Governments over the years have completely sold the UK down the river, were now totally dependent on every other country. I dare say we couldn’t feed ourselves if a world war kicked off.

I dare say we couldn’t feed ourselves if a world war kicked off. We dont rely on Russia, we use about 50% our own gas 30% from Norway only about 5% of total gas from Russia however if Russia puts up prices or cuts supply then demand from countries like Germany etc who heavily rely on russian gas goes up and therefore price goes up on our gas too.

Probably her best ever interview. Not hard given her track record but I can't say I disagree with her.

Russia has already invaded Ukraine by annexing the Crimea. If any war was to start they have a huge military foothold in the country, now connected by a modern railway.

I mean it's not a perfect interview, but by her standards it's fairly reasonable. Although I think it's a bit of an exaggeration to suggest that Putin invading Ukraine is the fault of the US or UK. There is absolutely no justification for Putin invading Ukraine. It would be a disgusting move that would result in horrifying numbers of casualties for absolutely no benefit to anyone. But we have to try and de-escalate and I'm not sure the West has done that very well. The prospect of Biden, Macron and Boris leading us into WWIII is a truly terrifying prospect.

People seem to have forgot that Russia deployed a nerve agent in the UK and murdered an innocent UK citizen, and they got away with it scot free. It's about time somebody gave the cunts a bloody nose.

There are some truths in what she says for sure. But it’s such a blinkered view of the situation. Hitler had “valid” reasons for much of what he did in terms of “incursions” in the years preceding the 2nd world war starting with the return of the Saarland (with its striking echoes to the Crimea), the anscluss with Austria and the annexation of the Sudetenland not to mention the Danzig corridor. To blame the West for what Putin is up to is the same as to blame Chamberlain for Hitler’s actions. Sure he could have done things differently, but ultimately it was only ever a question of when with Hitler. In other words Hitler was responsible, in the same way that Putin is responsible now. Oh… while I’m bumping my gums, there is such a thing as National self determination. It’s up to the Ukraine who it gets pally with. Something Abbott seems to forget. And there are good reasons Ukraine doesn’t want to be pals with Russia. The funny thing here is Russia is behaving like a colonial power in how it views its old possessions. Yet the loony left, who would trash Britain for behaving the same, look at Russia with the perpetual sympathy and indulgence they’ve extended to that country throughout its catastrophic communist period. Let’s not forget Abbott’s comments on Mao. Seems she hasn’t learnt anything. And this is the person Labour would have had in office as home secretary. Goodness me.

The commies in the Labour party should go live in China if they are so wedded to communism. It's a safe bet communism won't be a force politically in the UK anytime soon.

Whilst I don’t think NATO will mobilise quick enough I do think the good people of Ukraine will be game as fuck and cause a suitable problem for Russia which may buy time, was noticeable this week the number of operations off our east coast that utilised euro fighters and F15s also note that the uk recieved some B52s this week , slowly we’re edging toward a bit of chaos.. I think a short sharp bit of war, a ‘happy time’ for Russia before NATO moves. At which point valadimir goes home to a very patriotic applause from his people, ‘we showed them sort of stuff’ whilst avoiding a full on conflict which he will lose. As much as Russia has some TEC and plenty of boots on the ground they don’t have the aircraft, the ships, the logistics and most of all the appetite to sustain losses. Should be a fun few days tho for those of us watching

The Western media hysterics and scare mongering is fucking disgusting. As if these cunts didn't have enough blood on their hands following the Covid lies and pro lockdown, anti freedom propaganda.
Ukraine are begging our media to shut the fuck up and stop stirring things up yet just look at the state of that BBC headline.

Russia says diplomatic solution still possibleCan someone explain to me why Russia should be able to determine the foreign policy of an independent nation. I’m struggling with this. And those deep social and cultural ties are worth thinking about. Russia may have some positive feelings but the Ukraine’s thoughts aren’t necessarily so warm.

They all looked really silly with the speed in which the Taliban took over and how much of a bodge job they did getting people out. I feel like they’re operating on a worst case so if it does happen they can’t say they were caught off guard by Putin.

Ultimately a lot of this comes down to sheer incompetence of Western leaders and an inability to negotiate. One of my big gripes with politicians is the tragic lack of competence when it comes to basic negotiation. It doesn't take much research to see that a war would be catastrophic for Russia and Putin but at the end of the day the West need to give him a win to take back to Russia. He can't go back empty handed and will continue posturing until he gets a decent concession... Probably something along the lines of commitment that Ukraine won't join Nato for another 5 years. The big danger is Western politicians frightening him into war... Putting troops anywhere near Russia is not going to benefit anyone, least of all Ukraine. Ukraine's leaders are literally begging the West to shut the fuck up with the war hype and act with a semblance of rationality. Two years of bonkers overreactions to a largely non fatal virus and as you say, an embarassing humiliation at the hands of the Taliban - Why is any of this a surprise? Just look at the state of Boris, Biden, Macron and Von Der Liar. I wouldn't feel confident in them serving me a pint, let alone running some of the most powerful nations on the planet.

I’m surprised they’ve not tried to agree a short term deal where Ukraine doesn’t join NATO for 2 years. Ukraine probably wouldn’t join in the next two years anyway and gives Europe some time to get off the gas.
