Picked up 2nd half when we offered a much more attacking threat. Starting to see glimpses of what he can do again as well - needs a goal and he’ll be off running.

I think you're way too kind with him after tonights performance. I really though he should have been replaced before the hour mark with DWP.

When he first came back, it looked like his feet were screwed onto the wrong legs, his touch was heavy but he still had his pace.

Now his pace is still there, he's striking the ball more cleanly on a regular basis and his touch doesn't look as heavy.

He wasn't great tonight, it looks like he's not match fit at the moment, but in a couple of months the progress has been great considering what he's come back from. Which could easily have been a career ending injury.

Hopefully we get to see a bit more of the old Ty later this season or more likely early next.

Trust me I was calling him all the names under the sun first half and actually thought he should have given away a penalty for the push he did.

But the second half was like the old Campbell minus the sharpness. Fletcher going off was the right call. Tyrese got better and put them on the back foot. Just a shame his shooting was crap.

He hasn’t looked fit since his return.  You would think by now he would be back to full fitness.

The ref was unbelieveable! In addition to the penalty incident he missed two clear senging offs as well!

Allen helped a little to open things up but Powell made a huge difference.  It just shows how much we missed a player that can play a telling pass and pry open the defense.  We would have won that at a canter if he had been ready to start.

edit:  wrong response.  It was meant for the comment that he looked disinterested.  I didn’t get impression but he’s not his old self yet.  He might be fully fit by the end of the season just in time for a transfer.

Campbell is a proper striker, makes his trade in and around the box. He can do the other stuff and can run with the ball but you’ll get the best out of him when you’re attacking and and in/around the opposition box. As you say, when you’ve got Powell he can make this happen and bring the best out of Campbell.

Will be great to get them both firing again.

I don’t like to blame the ref because it can be an easy excuse for a poor performance.  But this was a shocking display of officiating.  They should have had two red cards and we should have had a penalty. Apart from that he was great! NOT🤬

I’d take a million for him now, don’t think he will even be on the bench next season if he doesn’t knuckle down and improve his fitness. Can’t keep saying this but his fitness is disgusting for a lad of his age.

Does seem to have lead in his boots, especially when he’s jumping for a header. That said I’d still wager he’d score more one on ones and half chances as he’s a natural finisher. He’s still in that injury recovery phase as far as I’m concerned and I reckon the green shoots of Spring will see him firing. Sadly, it will be too late for the season by then.

Understand what you are saying but for a professional, full time athlete to take so long to get fit, there is a problem.

Totally AWOL tonight. Had a weird expression. Maybe he’s scared of another injury. Either way fully expected him to come off after 65 mins. Maybe still too early for his return.
