I hope it isn't the case but I'm sure it takes a lot of mental strength not to want to protect yourself against a similar thing happening again. Let's hope Tyrese has that mental fortitude. To be fair i suspect Stoke will also have psychologists working with him which will give him a better chance than your average Joe. But even still from my experience i could never put it out of my head and naturally have over compensated on my left side as a result. This is despite the fact i have been forced into situations that make me realise my knee is now stable. But for whatever reason it has changed my mobility. Of course that is no big deal for me kicking a ball round the park with my lad but for a top pro it would be a bit of an issue. Hopefully he has a brain that works better than mine in this sense. Broke my left arm 3 times and doesn't go away mentally. The voices in my head often remind me of it as well.

Still looks lethal infront of goal, i.e. the QPR game. Just needs to get back to fitness, players struggle without a pre season so an injury out with rehab in-between... Can't expect him to be the same old Tyrese from minute one. Next season we'll be able to fairly judge him. I agree. I think a full pre season this summer will work wonders for his fitness and his form. If you remember, it was a long time when he first broke into the side before he was fit enough to play 90 minutes. I suspect this is helps to explain his moderate fitness and form at present. Unless an offer this month was completely stupid, it is unlikely to be close to what he should be worth next August.

Definitely let him go, selling your best players always brings the rewards for the long term🙄 Best player? We have no idea what the future is for him at the minute. Run that last comment by Premier League Brentford. Not sure what the smiley face represents. We're talking a player who has scored 21 goals in his career. Anyway nobody it seems offering huge money for him it seems so irrelevant really Name a better striker at Stoke?

There is one thing nobody on this board seems to understand about the injury Tye is STILL recovering from. The physical recovery is one thing and that has taken the best part of a year! BUT the psychological recovery could take another 12 months! I have been unfortunate enough to do my ligaments in BOTH knees and returning to play footy was a nightmare for months after my brain stopped me from living and playing in the way I wanted. This is a part of the recovery which will be the hardest to get over and I think that is why his performances have been a little below par! Give him time he patient and the fee will be double the £25m spouted!!! I and several others have posted to this affect several times. Despite scoring three goals, he’s overweight, unfit and nowhere near his pre-injury level.

I did my ACL and had it repaired but it my head 15 years later i still don't quite trust it. I hope he does recover but it may be the case it will always be something that affects him and stops him reaching what his potential was pre injury. Yes Carl Saunders did his hamstring and was never the same player, he could tell he was scared to go full pelt and it wasn't until he left did he seem to fully recover.

No that’s not what I said but are you suggesting a player in his breakthrough season at the tender age of 20 is the finished article and has no room for improvement I would suggest for how good Tye was before his injury he was know where near the finished article or anywhere near his full capabilities as a player!!! I think given PATIENCE AND TIME he could develop into a very very good striker who given the current economic situation at the top of the football pyramid could EASILY dictate figures of close to if not greater than £50mil in his career!!!

Name a better striker at Stoke? On current form - Brown. Is that a universal opinion held by fans? It’s not, I’d argue most would agree Tyrese is a better player with better prospects of playing at the top level. The fact there are no rumours about prem sides coming in for Brown kind of quashes that point.

You heal but do you heal as good as new?

My point was if we got a good offer at this moment in time would make sense to accept it.

I think it's simply a confidence thing with Tyrese atm. There have been various occasions where he's had 1v1 moments with defenders since his comeback and he's refused to take the player on when before his injury he would've done. He looks unsure of himself and that's to be expected, we've just got to be patient with him.

You know what it’s like, he plays Saturday and gets a hatrick and nobody on here would sell him The likes of Tyrese, D’Margio, Tymon, Souttar and even Brown are the sort of players that could propel us to the premier league, it would be madness to sell unless we are faced with no option due to FFP

As always the decision ultimately lies with the player not his club. If an offer came in it’s probably about how much not can we keep him. That’s modern football

The point being, selling your best players is never a good long term strategy. That not quite true. There’s an old saying in business “there’s no point saving for a rainy day when it’s already pissing down”. We had to cash in Collins partly for FFP reasons, partly to reduce the wage bill and partly to generate cash to re-invest in more players in positions where they were more needed. There was no way of knowing Souttar would suggest a major injury, if we had we would never sold him.

Campbell is struggling at the moment but I’d be prepared to be patient as he’s a dam good player. Brown is someone who runs and runs, effort 10-football ability 4!!!! We need better if we’re going to have a strong season. It’s probably a good thing we can’t spend much as O’Neill is not to be trusted with money, Surridge 2.5m rising to whatever, probably won’t rise because he’s not going to be fulfilling his so called potential!! Brown runs a lot and scores the odd goal, misses a fair few but for 2m he should be better especially in this league. I know you’re going say 2m and 2.5m+ is not a lot of money! It is when you have your limit’s AKA fair play!! You have to spend wisely which O’Neill hasn’t but he’s done ok in the loan market!!!!
