Whenever a teenage prodigy is mentioned and when talking about how to get him in the team I'm always reminded of the brilliant Barry Hines book The Blinder. We read it at school until some busy body dobbed our English teacher in to the Sentinel. A furore ensued about literature, censorship and art and it was banned. The lad in the book is a working class lad who is a bit of a gobshite, shagger, fighter and all round teenage knob. However he is a football prodigy who gets away with all sorts because of his football. It's a brilliant book, better in my view than a Kestrel for a Knave. More raw and relevant to a snot nose like me at the time. Obviously not a comment on Emre but I seem to remember the manager or chairman bunged him some money to play, off the books. Blokes of my era at school might remember. A brilliant read by a great Northern author. Made me realise not all books are boring. www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2016/mar/25/barry-hines-football-kes-the-blinderThe games lesson in Kes is brilliant!

Voted - Tezgel is currently in third place. Personally I think he should be in first or second place. Obviously I voted for him - he does well to beat about three defenders in the area before shooting across the keeper. His goal was certainly against the strongest opponents - Man City.

He's top now by a fair few votes. Don't know when voting closes.

Cadamarteri's isn't even that good. Is he any relation to Danny? My first instinct was to look it up, turns out he's his son

Good mature performance today. Sometimes with young players at his age they can look a bit lost on the pitch.
Did well with the press too and forced a few errors from their defenders winning possession. Was neat on the ball with some great passes and vision as well, the one out to brown on the right flank to spread the play and open them up was nice.
I know it’s just one game but looks like he may be ready for senior football next season based on that showing.

He was woeful today, Tez did well, Fletcher is an end of career player imo.

To be fair, Fletcher did lots of good things today, but as soon as he was striking the ball it all went wrong. Wouldn't be missed if he left at the end of the season now, Browns development means he can hold the ball up a little bit. Tezgel looked bright and so level headed. He looked to do the right thing, rather than do too much which often happens with young kids, like how we frequently see from the very talented bad ass.

Tezgel didn't look out of place in any way whatsoever. I wouldn't have believed he was only 16 if I didn't already know. Hopefully he gets a few more opportunities in the first team before the end of the season.

Looked really comfortable receiving the ball and linking up the play. Just a shame Fletcher was on the pitch at the same time and decided it was all going to be about him.

He’s a proper footballer isn’t he?
Held it up so well and his passing was on point.
Too soon to think he could be the replacement for Fletcher?

Right now, yes too soon However if he keeps progressing then it could be the case some time in the next 12 months? Needs more U23 games right now although some first team minutes is an option

If he can bulk up a bit and play more games in the u23s like you say then there’s nothing from stopping him from doing it.

Ever so slightly too soon but don't think it will be far away. By the time he's 18 I'd expect him to be knocking on the door. Excellent young footballer and I predict will comfortably go on to be the best we've produced.

I don’t think it’ll send him backwards or be too much too soon. He did look slight but also took what they dished out well. I saw nothing that would put me off giving him chances in the league if we’re not in contention for the play off.
