Right now, yes too soon However if he keeps progressing then it could be the case some time in the next 12 months? Needs more U23 games right now although some first team minutes is an option I meant for next season tbh. If he can bulk up a bit and play more games in the u23s like you say then there’s nothing from stopping him from doing it. He still isn’t training with the first team every session, correct? I recall MON or Holden mentioning that he couldn’t because of school responsibilities. Once that’s over, I hope his progress with us is even faster. Will likely be a big summer for the boy.

Must admit, even though he’s a North Staffordshire lad I was labouring under the assumption his name was Turkish - don’t ask me why because I’m not sure and it’s only the last few posts that’s made me question it.

His mum is from the Potteries area dad is Turkish I think. Emre is a Turkish name for sure (remember Emre Belezogul who played for Newcastle), not heard the surname Tezgel before but it looks plausibly Turkish too.

True Grant, the keeper who started the game is Lee Grant's son. I'm glad True doesn't play as the False Nine.

I still don't see why he'd join Man City or the like yet.
He'd be loaned to a club like ours for 2/3 years and then might get in their side.
He's better off staying here. That imo is the same for any player at a Championship club.

Then might get in their cup side you mean, man city, chelsea, liverpool, man utd they will have kids like him at every age group from 8 to 21, just look at the right backs chelsea had at one point James, Lamptey, Livrimento, Sterling and others. Stay and play until someone will pay £20m+ and put you in the first team or goto Germany but whatever you do dont go to a premiership side, you will just get lost.

The thing we've got with Emre we didn't have with the likes of Sankoh is that he's a Stoke fan and whilst we're probably talking mad money he will have a little bit of loyalty to the club you'd think.

He's got more of a chance of getting in their first team by staying here.
