I had the long sleeved version as a kid, always played football in it. Mmmm Danone It was amazing how big Italian football was amongst my generation at the time. A mate had the 'Sony' Del Piero shirt, another Inter Milan shorts. All picked up from some of the smaller sports shops around here as the internet didn't really exist.

I had a 89-90 Koln top from there, played in it for years.

Baggio was wonderful from what I recall as a kid. However, that first goal does highlight a lot of how the game has changed in recent years. There’s no way you are seeing that happen often in the top flight today.

Though he literally jogs with the ball from one end of the pitch to the other with the only challenge being a pathetic lunge that created the space for him. My point is that it doesn’t really seem like the best goal to showcase him. If Baggio was playing in this era, he’d have had to do more to score goals like that. He would have done though, because he was an exceptional talent in his era and he would have become an exceptional talent in this one.

My mum and dad used to get me the Napoli kits, I often wonder where they got them from as it was before the internet. Some great kits.

I picked up a Milan lotto shirt from Bournes (I think) in the mid 90s. It must have been the previous seasons as it was fairly cheap. The classic red and black stripes with Motta as the sponsor
It was mint and I wished Id kept it

No need for VAR with him around. There was something terrifying about him with those eyes. He certainly took no shite and if there were more like him VAR wouldn’t be a thing. Great soundtrack too

Great soundtrack too Certainly possessed a scary demeanour, but his real authority came from his consistency and just getting far more important decisions right than wrong.
