I've just watched it. What a bag of shit. Hard to believe a player as good as Baggio could be the subject of something so wank. Baggio himself should find tbe people who made it and projectile vomit over their cars.

Used to have to spend the off season building the muscles around his knee to be able to play properly.
Loved that era of football in Italy.

One of the magical moments from Italia '90, seems strange looking back that the coach was so reluctant to start him.

One of the magical moments from Italia '90, seems strange looking back that the coach was so reluctant to start him. I’m sure at the time watching it live the commentator was Barry Davies. Went like this……. Baggio Still Baggio Still Baggio Still Baggio AND STILL BAGGIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Although I could be wrong🤔

He wasn’t half the player after he lobbed his pony off👀 The football he played at Bologna without it was some of the best of his career. Reignited his international career.

I don’t recall that commentary, strange watched this in a nightclub in either Sardinia or Sicily can't remember which but was free drink as were invited by a local doctor. Long story. the waitresses were all 9/10. first time I discovered Moretti beer and special Italian hospitality . They knew how to celebrate. Best team in that tournament I thought

Lothar Matheus was a machine. So much so I suspected he was rammed with steroids! Years later I worked on an EA Sports event when FIFA 99 was launched in Düsseldorf and I met Lothar and he signed me an Adidas Tango. Lovely chap.

I was was way behind, was Alan Biley meets Kajagoogoo.
