Why is it he gets so much attention from our fan base when he as much as kicks a ball?!! Baffling. I think it's fascination more than anything. He was as bang average as they come with us, no better than players like Assaidi and Ramadan who have gone on to have nothing careers. Yet somehow on the back of an average season with a relegated side, he's ended up getting moves to PSG and now Bayern. Just doesn't make any sense and we all want to know how he does it.

He seems to have turned up at some top clubs always on a free, he must have amounted a fair fortune in wages down the years.

He actually didn't do too badly, but he wasn't another Arnautovic. In fact we could hardly bring another Arnie in who without a doubt is the best player I've seen at Stoke for the last 20 years, and that with Fuller included.

Good player, didn’t suit us Yes, he provided most of what little enjoyment there was at the end of our Prem years and he sure had the look! Interesting career trajectory after he left us... Stoke City 30 (5) Paris St Germain 31 (6) Bayern Munich 48 (10)

I allways like him as a player at Schalke before joining us. Sadly injuries and his attitude didn't help him at times. Scoring against Everton and getting injured in the process summed up his time here.

Joselu 2nd most La Liga goals this season, had a decent return last year aswell.
Ostigard doing well for himself with Napoli, just seem he's scored tonight aswell

A significant attendee in our demise along with Jese et al. Rate him or rate him not as a footballer he should never have been recruited by SCFC.

Rate him or rate him not as a footballer he should never have been recruited by SCFC. Scored 5 in 30 from the wing. Crouch scored 5 in 31 the same season up front. Not only are the likes of Crouch overlooked for the part they played in our relegation, but they are openly celebrated for 'speaking the truth' about that dreadful part of our history. The only truth that needs to be spoken is that Choupo-Moting was no better or worse than the rest of them, Crouch, Bardsley, Johnson, Adam and Shawcross included.

The bit that annoys me the most about the ‘good, honest, British pros’ we had, is they’ve all spoken about how they could see it in preseason. Has one of them come out and said they did anything at all to try and stop it? No.

You could tell he was talented, but we used him badly.
His best position was the Arnie role- left wing, cutting in on his right foot, using his strength to bully full-backs. He had a way of turning and shrugging off defenders that reminded me of Fuller. Unfortunately we used him as a centre-forward for a lot of the time, which he was OK at, but it didn't look like his best position to me.
Week-in, week-out we should have played him LW, Shaqiri RW and rather than the dreadful Jese, put everything into finally signing a quality centre-forward.*
*I forgot- we signed Berahino. 😂

I liked Choupo you could see he was a quality player, just not the player you want in a relegation battle. He'd have been great if we were flying.
His social media stuff did him no favours with the fans either.
Right player, wrong time.

He'd have been ok as a squad option but hanging our hat on him as an Arnie replacement and spunking the Arnie money on Wimmer was just a seismic brainfart from Hughes.

Some people now waking up to the fact that Hughes's signing were the reason we're where we are now. Moting was obviously a very good player

Incidentally Bayern's 3 assists were provided by Serge Gnabry, the kiddy TP decided wasn't good enough for West Brom. Perhaps we should have tried to sign him instead of Choupo
