Goarn Max Verstappen
Also, Aston Martin competing for the first time in 60 years.
It’s a fantastic spectacle and when I’m a billionaire I’ll follow it all over the world vip.

The last few years for me have been a bit meh with no serious competition for Lewis for another team.
This is exactly what the sport needs today.
Max should have won the race but yet again Lewis proved why he's the most successful driver of all time holding him off at the end.
Going be some serious wheel to wheel racing this season.

Lewis is a jammy fucker but he can get more out of tyres than anyone else I don't think that was jammy to be honest, drove amazingly well the last 10 laps, Max gained an advantage off the track so rightly got made to give the position back. Clearly the best of the modern era (at least) but the records would suggest ever. Had alot of questions asked because he has had the best car in the field by far but at the moment it looks like Red Bull have the best all round car so it will be interesting to see how he fairs... First challenge passed today

It's not looking any better for Vettel. I liked his little battle with Alonso, but then he repeated his mistakes of the last few years. He's reinforcing the fact that I think he's the least best driver to win two titles or more. Norris looked very good - maybe the next British World Champion, or would Russell still be favourite? Mercedes' dominance has got to end soon.

My prediction: It's going to be another boring season of stupid rules and stewards ruining the racing.
Just need a decent British driver in an Aston, should've got George Russell in there.

Pretty lucky but it’s going to be a brilliant season.

I agree, he gave position back on the wrong post of the track but I'm guessing he just wanted to give it him back ASAP so that he could get on with getting it back again. Doesn't take away from the fact that Hamilton was excellent and his track positioning to close doors on Verstappen was spot on. I would love to see Lewis in a Red Bull and let them fight it out in the same car. As you say I think this season will be a belter. The mid table teams look alot stronger as well and it's nice to see Mclaren looking competitive again

Norris is class too.

I was convinced that Max was going to just drive past Hamilton under DRS, but when Lewis told Bono to shut up we knew were were going to be in for a treat. Things fell well for Lewis with the back marker being in exactly the right place at the right time, but I think Lewis knew exactly what he was doing by giving Max the opportunity to overtake him at a point where Max could be legitimately forced off the track. It was an absolute masterclass in using every availble resource to stay in front.

Would have more chance in a Morris minor It’s baffling as Haas have soooo much experience in top flight motor racing. If they could just work out how to run it on avocados (the rest of the field would be toast?)

Having said that I'd love to see him pushed by verstappen. When I was in Singapore I watched the F1 and on the sunday night, way into monday morning met up with a few of the red bull guys. By god they can party on a sunday night

I think it’s Verstappen’s title this year, he looks a lot more focused than he’s ever done, he’s cut out the red mist it seems.
Norris is on fire, my favourite sportsman in the world currently, absolute legend, can’t wait for him to get his first win.
Vettel is finished, it’s really sad to see but his heart clearly isn’t in it anymore, and he hasn’t got the ability anymore to make up the deficit.

I used to plan my European holidays round a GP in 80's and 90's and I was only an engineer in a factory! Portugal, Spain, San Marino (was there when Senna died) and Monaco and stayed in seaside towns not too far away to make it a bit cheaper. Did Holland too and Amsterdam is fun! 😄
