We are all pised off about the decision, but we also need to ask why it wasn't us pressing them in their box and yes maybe getting a penalty

Why didn’t M’boro’s keeper watch Swansea’s penalty against us. He just flopped on the floor like Gunn. Had he simply stood still it would have hit him in the face.

What happened to the retrospective action for diving that started in 2017?

Warnock’s rant is up there with his dressing room one. No doubt the ref next week against us will give them everything🙄 This is part of it Brilliant If the officials need to even things out a bit? Only one will be a winner All we want is a fair game, both on and off the pitch

But sometimes managers have to speak out against poor refereeing decisions, because some of these decisions have ultimately cost managers their jobs, or at least they've not helped towards it!!!

I said this after wednesdays game...the keepers are allowed to move along the goal line before kick is taken and Ayew again falters on his run up, the keeper dives one way and he simply has to roll the ball in the other corner. Doesn’t need to be well placed as the keeper has little or no chance of changing direction once he’s committed. Keepers would stand better chance of at least going the right way if they guessed as the kick was struck.

If they make the keeper stay on the line then they should also ensure the taker runs normally towards the ball as the sort of run Ayew is done to gain an unfair advantage.

Just checked on the laws regarding taking penos.......players are allowed to do a staggered run up but they cannot stop at the end of their approach before striking the ball. If they do it’s a yellow card and indirect free kick to the defending team.

A ref would never have the balls to disallow it though. Just seen yesterday’s pen again and it’s a shocker as was Boros dissalowed goal. There’s no other word for there gamesmanship other than cheating though it’s paid off. When you look at the pen they’re clearly putting him under pressure to make the decision too. This sort of stuff is ruining the game. Everyone does it but some clubs are way worse than others Swansea being a case in point.

As long as the teams get away with diving, crowding the referee etc, more teams may be encouraged to do the same The financial rewards for a place in the Premiership puts pressure on to win at all costs, unfortunately

Just watched the Moro v Swansea highlights on You Tube.
The first disallowed goal is beyond belief.
The penalty putting it politely was harsh.
Six points I’ll won in 12 mins of added time.

You have to say once is luck but a second time looks very suspicious. It can't happen again or it will definitely look corrupt. Stone wall penalties? Managers should look at mistakes made by their teamslike he would? What a total lack of humility and modesty by Steve Cooper. And I've just found out that his dad was a well known Premier ref.

The next team to play Swansea should every now and then keep throwing themselves to the ground even if no one is with 20 yards of them. At the end of the game after the whistle, every player go up to the ref, ask him if he's sure he's not giving them another last kick penalty, then all the players pretend to faint and collapse on the floor.
He'd probably book them all and they'd get charged by the FA

Yes, Colin W makes the delicious insinuation that Cooper's old man was involved in influencing decisions. Cooper senior is highly likely innocent, but I am sure he got wound up by Colin

This is Great by Col but you know Middlesbrough will get all the decisions next week, so tough luck to the team they face at home next Saturday who ever they are

Never knew this, but Cooper's dad is ex ref Keith Cooper. Might explain a couple of things this week...

Being real, Cooper's Dad being a former ref is probably pure coincidence. Cooper's "both were stonewall penalties" comment will rile people but surely he's just on a wind-up. He can't really think that.

Though the lad was already stretching making his way to the floor it seems he is caught by the player trying to clear the danger. A genuine one this time though he made it look like one.
