That maybe so Dave, but time and time again we simply don't have the 'legs' second half with that combination?..

Let's hope that the rumour that he has sold up and moved to Swansea has some legs, he would be perfect for their midfield 👍

So what’s the point in keeping playing him then ? To get him up towards full finess, of course. Meanwhile the team goes into a tailspin , he has had long enough now , I’m guessing it’s contractual, if Joe wants to play , he plays .

And quite rightly so. Mystic Bollocks. It’s not though is it. The bloke is beyond toss, so is Mikel for that matter, he appears to have left his legs in 2014. Yes it is. Whatever your thoughts are of Joe Allen as a footballer for this club, you are miles wide of the mark when you say he is this clubs worst ever signing. Its complete bollocks.

No, he has not had enough time. He won't be fully fit until after pre season. I've cerrtainly subscribed to your theory or the similar one, but both you and I will have to succumb to the fact that the manager sees the player as absolutely crucial to his gameplan.

I genuinely think he has been, not because he's been the poorest player or rinsed us for value either. It's because hes continuously been played, we never needed him and he offers nothing going forward or defensively. We'd have been better off if he'd been exiled.

The bloke is shite, can’t trap a ball, can’t maintain position, can’t pass, can’t shoot, can’t do anything other than run like a twat that’s been tasered. We never needed him and his signing completely unbalanced the team, he was playing as a number 10 instead of Bojan for Christ’s sake just because he had a weird 5 game spell of goals, he was a mainstay in the team that was relegated from a league where Huddersfield bastard Town stayed up over us, he then continued to be even more wank in a lower division where we almost dropped again, that’s strange I thought we’d got this supposed Welsh superstar that we were lucky to have, I’d rather play my nan in midfield and she’s been in a jar for 11 years. Financially not the worst signing, but in terms of impact on the team he’s in a league of his own, he’s usurped Salif Diao as my least favourite Stoke player of all time, I can’t stand him.

Even in this game I think they have been shit together Allen always is, it was marginally better from him today but it's still not good enough and its laughable that people think he's the best we have, even a couple that think he's the best in the league

This was never a game that they were going to be given the runaround in, it's against more mobile teams with quick passing in midfield when they struggle..

Made sense to play them today, Wycombe sit deep, don't particularly press with any intensity and they are our best players in terms of ball retention......

Not being sarcastic at all...well maybe a bit with the extended contract comment. However, I like Mikel and he was excellent today. Everything today has to be tempered by the fact we were playing Wycombe but clearly there are games we'll be involved in where Mikel can contribute enormously. He played well at Brentford, he was good in midweek and he was excellent today. No sarcasm at all!

I can only think the manager left Allen on to send a message that he thinks they can play together.
Joe was atrocious today. It felt cruel to leave him on the pitch.

Still wouldn’t give him an extra year though as against the better teams he’s given the runaround by quicker more mobile players.

When we were struggling to beat the teams lower down the food chain in this division earlier in the season, he was injured. Maybe he has a role to play in helping us win the games we are supposed to win. If we have to leave him out of certain games so be it.

I’d still be looking to split them up in the next game. Middlesbrough are full of running in midfield and we will need to match them.

I'm wanking myself silly at the very thought of it. Next seasons dream team. New 3 Year contract for Mikel with Tony Pulis making a triumphant managerial return to the Potteries.
