My 'business' is you're a bitter little hypocrite. Precise enough? Your'e a happy clapping, 2008 sad act. I'm right behind teachers but fuck me it's time schools went back now isn't it. I'm pretty sure you've never got behind anything in your life. You get back to your bile pops.

The true impact of FFP gets murkier and murkier. It really doesn't it's entirely possible they have some scope for modest signings like brown, doughty or for loan signings like Clarke, Gunn, Rabbi without being in a ffp position to spend £10m on a striker or have to sell Collins for £3.50 and a curly wurly.

Who do we HAVE to sell then? I've heard all sorts these past few days. People are clearly making things up.

Quite possibly no one, the last two years transfer activity has been very modest, the amendments to ffp due to covid may mean we are ok this year, next year will be more difficult because of the loss of parachute payments but we have till 31/5/22 to address that even if we did have to sell someone this season the key date is not the transfer window but the end of the financial year 31/5/21 which means sales can be agreed after the end of the season.

So less than £15M and serious add ons for Collins would be an act of gross incompetence and a dereliction of duty? Agreed?

It would appear so at the moment if push comes to shove it will depend on how keen and who the buyers are, I suspect he will eventually end up at Man Utd in the summer.

Murkier & murkier? How so? He’s pretty much spoke about everything FFP related here. Now whether the board are singing from the same hymn sheet is another matter, but I reckon everything the manager is saying is pretty positive all things considered. Well in the last 24 hours we've had sage advice on here that we have to sell everything that moves at pretty much any serious bid we get to we can pick and choose which route we go. No one really seems to know. I hear what you’re saying mate, plenty of ‘experts’ on here who claim to know absolutely everything that goes on at our club. I’ve been wondering just how bad the FFP situ is myself, as the silence has been pretty deafening from the powers that be for a while now. That MON interview is quite encouraging though, I’d say. States that we shouldn’t be selling and various other measures we’ve taken mean we don’t have to. He does appear to say that someone offering silly money could change everything but that probably applies to every club outside of the Prem Big Boys. The only thing I would say is it’s the manager telling us this. Are the board saying the same thing?

The only thing I would say is it’s the manager telling us this. Are the board saying the same thing? I've been told by someone involved in football finances especially in the Championship that since Leicester got promoted breaking FFP rules and made an agreement with the Football League paying them a very low settlement, virtually every promoted club barring those with parachute payments have broken FFP and negotiated equally low settlements as the Premier League are not interested in backing the Championship rules. He also says that the Championship is the only division in England that doesn't allow the owners to put as much money as they want into a club. He says in lots of ways it makes sense to get relegated to division 1, invest heavily in the squad, get promoted then go straight up to the Premier with the squad you bought in Div. 1. The problem with that is there are no guarantees.

Hands off even for double that - far too late to replace him I can see the club accepting 15 million with sell on clause. Can't see Burnley Burnley offering that.

If they did go to £10m with a few add-ons, it might give us some kind of decision to make.
But no idea why you even submit £7.5m

But no idea why you even submit £7.5m They seem serious in terms of getting him if not the price so you'd imagine the clubs might start properly communicating shortly. Anything less than 15 plus serious add ons is still robbery in my eyes.
