BURNLEY and Arsenal are battling it out for Stoke’s Nathan Collins — and Sean Dyche has a real chance.
Potters’ defender Collins, 19, is the Clarets’ top choice to replace James Tarkowski in a £10million deal.
From the Sun...
Would 10m be a good sum for him?

He'll be worth 40 million next summer.
I worry our financial situation could force us to sell our star assets for less than their worth.

And a decent sell on clause
Really hoping we can keep him though, he’s going to be worth triple that in a season or two

No
We should be building the back four around him next season.

Is Collins more highly thought of than Souttar then?

Is Collins more highly thought of than Souttar then? He's certainly the most talented of the 2, absolutely.

£10M??? bollox to that, unless he has a clause in his contract I'd say Bids should start at £15M no less, with a large percentage of a sell on clause!!!
We need to show how much we value him!!!

It’s the double edged sword of having good, young players....eventually they get noticed. My worry has always been that we will lose them and go backwards. We shouldn’t do as Brentford can make it work, but I’m not so sure about us.

Is Collins more highly thought of than Souttar then? He's a better footballer. Is he a better defender? I don't know I've not seen enough of him at centre half.

No We should be building the back four around him next season. If he wants to go then he will go. Unfortunately, for us, decent home grown players with potential (which I believe Collins qualifies as) are now going to be more in demand at the top level post Brexit

They’re gonna get a massive fee for Tarkowski, if we let Collins go for £10m when they’ve got money burning a hole in their pockets then we deserve relegating
Can’t see Collins getting near that team with both Tarkowski and Mee still there

Well this will be the next chapter in the chief executives crime sheet , horrendous investments , recruitment and contract management resulting in the distress sale of key assets thereby making a return to the top flight increasingly less likely , rank incompetence has throw away the golden opportunity in our history we’ve gone form the brink go the top 7 to being cannon fodder on and ff the pitch for Burnley , Bournemouth , Norwich , Watford and so many more

This is Stoke, we’ve never done that.😂😂 Scholes has already got his pen out to sign off on the deal and is creaming his pants at the thought of the money.

They can both just fuck off!
Surely, as a club, we know that he is worth more than that, and if we can hold onto him for another couple of seasons he could be worth 2 or 3 times that. We may be cash-strapped as far as incomings go, but we certainly don't need to sell our future. He's playing every game for us, so he himself knows that his career is progressing where he is...but as spitthedog said above, if he wants to go, he'll go...

Is Collins more highly thought of than Souttar then? Collins will end up at a big club. Souttar if he’s lucky will play top flight football.

Is Collins more highly thought of than Souttar then? Darren Fletcher was singing his praises when he left us to go coaching at Man Utd & that was before he'd properly broken through into being a first team regular so he'll definitely be featuring on radars & I'm guessing whilst Souttar is looking promising, Collins comes across as having that ability to go all the way to the top.

If the figures are remotely accurate, this is similar money to the Vokes deal. Think about that for a moment.😬

Here we go on the FFP front FFP is no excuse for accepting joke offers. He’s worth 20m and selling him for a penny less would be criminal.

Sorry but if a Premier League club genuine comes calling and with decent bid he's off. We literally can not spend any money due to FFP. Not saying we need to under sell but if it matches his current value then we will.
