I’ve defended him but his ball control today was beyond awful
As been said previously - Martin Carruthers reincarnated

As cameos go it wasnt great was it ?
And he replaced arguably our brightest attacking player.

Yet he did more in 7 mins than Fletcher all afternoon. He at least forced a save from the keeper

He's definitely won a competition. A great run towards the box then he falls over the ball 🤦♂️🤣 Hearing Nigel Johnson say "Brown bursting through, no, hes trod on the ball" Sums him up

Yet he did more in 7 mins than Fletcher all afternoon. He at least forced a save from the keeper I mean he didn't? It’s easy keep knocking the young lad but he at least had an attempt on goal. Admittadley he has to score but he actually brought a save from the keeper.

Brown is another perfect example of a signing that was always going to see us closer to Division 1 than the Prem. Zero ambition shown throughout the club in the previous 12 months. I think most realistic fans expected a 10 year wait to return to the Premier. Nothing that O’Niel, SCFC or any of its players has offered during this period dissuades me from this theory. We are now an established (probably mid to lower) Championship side with an almighty combined effort and investment required to get anywhere near a return to the promised land.

His first 3 touches were horrendous. After that he didn't do anything wrong and Cousins late header came courtesy of his good work.
It's like so many things at the moment. The knives are out and they will be stuck in irrespective of what happens.

The bit where he tried to take the ball on his chest but ended up doing a basket ball dribble was my personal highlight.

I suppose everyone needs a Pantomime Villain. But singling him out for criticism today is way OTT for me.
What did he do that was so catastrophically wrong today?
He actually did some nice work to help create the chance for Cousins. Ok he slipped on the ball, but that seems to be enough to trigger some people off.
Did he miss a sitter or something?
He was on for 7 minutes but seems to be the focus for all of our misdoings today again!

1 He accidentally kicked an opponent in the head 2 He fell over the ball 3 He handballed while trying to control the ball
We should have moved him on in the transfer window.
Even Gregory was better than this and the decision to sign Brown and get rid of Gregory will contribute to MON losing his job.

He is what he is, not his fault he isn't up to the standard we required I blame whoever spent £2m bringing him here considering the situation we are in with FFP a shocking decision, another reason we were unable to sign a striker we desperately needed another to be filed under total waste of money.

It's gross incompetence mate how is it possible to keep making the same mistake over and over and over again, law of averages dictate no matter how useless you are you will get it right sometimes.

I was confused also, not for the first time may I add as I was questioning if Reading had the players with the surnames as ours as at one point Allen set up an attack for Reading

When Brown was described as a pacey forward just prior to signing I kind of hoped he was perhaps in the Ollie Watkins mold of forward, sadly to date has proved not to be the case!
