I suppose it’s versatile as Chester can play left back in a multitude of back four formations. Not too chuffed with Vokes playing but I guess with injuries this is where we’re at.

Mmmm - I'd rather have seen Cousins start than Thompson but I guess he needs a rest. Same goes for Fletcher I suppose but a front 2 of Brown and Vokes doesn't fill me with confidence. Perhaps it is the Ali "rope a dope" strategy - we keep it scoreless for 70 minutes and then bring on Verlinden and Someone else and run riot?  |

I just fail to understand how after considering previous performances or the quality he has that any manager would select Vokes to play from the start of any game. Notts Forest will be pleased to see his name on the team sheet. His confidence level is nil, his pace and movement is very poor. I hope he isn't the penalty taker tonight! If Fletcher is injured I would still search for an alternative.

Well thats a surprise selection. Not sure I would partner Allen with Thompson as thats a light weight midfield. Let's hope all these changes don't slow us down for 45 minutes again. Anyway, goooaaaannn Stoke.
