What the hell is with rushing Allen back in for Cousins, who's been doing great? Is MON star-struck or something? Cousins must be absolutely knackered the amount of games he’s played of late I'm pretty sure that's the reason. Didn't he say in interview yesterday that the returning players gave him the chance to let some of those who have held the line the chance of a rest?

I think it's a balanced side Up to Stoke to use it right. Crosses into Vokes, Brown and Powell pushing right up.
And of course take chances.
Until we have another bone fide left back and until we can get a decent forward in its where we at.
Expecting a win myself

Nursing his injury, I'd imagine. He played against better judgment for 1½ game last week, it was probably too much, as the teamsheet indicates. So it makes sense to replace him with Vokes for the only reason that the other alternative is no one! Selecting Vokes on his merits makes no sense, but do you play a game without a central striker? His presence could open spacee for other players to exploit.

Really can't understand starting the fat controller up front.
EDIT: Fletchers Knee has flared up again.
God we need a better alternative than Vokes.

I just fail to understand how after considering previous performances or the quality he has that any manager would select Vokes to play from the start of any game. Notts Forest will be pleased to see his name on the team sheet. His confidence level is nil, his pace and movement is very poor. I hope he isn't the penalty taker tonight! If Fletcher is injured I would still search for an alternative. Powell up top, he can do it. However he is better playing where he is.

What does teachers pet Brown have to do to get dropped?

Fair enough on Cousins. He needs a rest.
But the fact Vokes is next cab off the rank up front is one hell of an indictment. MON, I'm sure, would prefer to wash his hands of him. But needs must.
And the fact we've got to play a back 5 because we have no left-back really is frustrating

Why has cousins been dropped? Bloody Vokes. Binary game coming up. I'm hoping its just needing a rest, anything more would be a massive worry.

No Cousins is a strange one, and Vokes up front is worrying.
And then there is Joe Allen. Really hope I’m proven wrong, but I just don’t see how he’s walking straight back into the side. I still dont know what he’s supposed to be. He lacks the discipline to play as a defensive midfielder, and doesn’t have the creativity to be useful as a more attacking force. His main attribute is his energy, but it usually results in chaos. Interesting to see how he looks after such a long lay-off, but I really don’t think he brings anything to the side.

With Vokes possibly being a bit of a Beast, maybe he'll come alive for tonight's Full Moon.

There are viable alternatives that yeah are unorthodox but that are better than this. I still can’t get my around Thompson playing though. The bloke is stealing a leaving.

We are where we are. If we play 2 up front, Vokes is only ever a Fletcher niggle/resting away from a start - and we have to flog Brown to death.
Reinforcements needed urgently

Fletcher would be a better impact sub than Vokes, so it’s probably the right way round. It would if Fletcher was on the bench I haven’t seen the bench. In which case, I’m surprised Fletcher isn’t on it.

Not a fan though of that selection though I get players get tired. Really not a fan of Thompson. Just don’t know what he brings to the table. Cousin is a far better CM.
