I think it's a balanced side Up to Stoke to use it right. Crosses into Vokes, Brown and Powell pushing right up. And of course take chances. Until we have another bone fide left back and until we can get a decent forward in its where we at. Expecting a win myself Who’s putting the crosses in? |

Cousins didn’t deserve to be dropped, Thompson should have made way if Allen was starting Bang out of order dropping cousins he’s been our best player after back 4 and goalie |

What the hell is with rushing Allen back in for Cousins, who's been doing great? Is MON star-struck or something? Cousins must be absolutely knackered the amount of games he’s played of late You have to hope that is the case. If not, its desperately disappointing. I can't see a clean sheet tonight. Smith and MacLean who last season were both in the top five or so players in the Championship for crosses. Yes some of MacLean crossed are atrocious but he also puts quality ones in too. |

No Cousins is a strange one, and Vokes up front is worrying. And then there is Joe Allen. Really hope I’m proven wrong, but I just don’t see how he’s walking straight back into the side. I still dont know what he’s supposed to be. He lacks the discipline to play as a defensive midfielder, and doesn’t have the creativity to be useful as a more attacking force. His main attribute is his energy, but it usually results in chaos. Interesting to see how he looks after such a long lay-off, but I really don’t think he brings anything to the side. I'm no Allen fan but he showed considerably more defensive discipline after MON had taught him a thing or two, but anyway he has Thompson for cover. If he appears to be lacking defensively, then by the second half when we lead with the only goal of the game, we can chuck Mikel in. |

Fair enough on Cousins. He needs a rest. But the fact Vokes is next cab off the rank up front is one hell of an indictment. MON, I'm sure, would prefer to wash his hands of him. But needs must. And the fact we've got to play a back 5 because we have no left-back really is frustrating Never mind needs must I can think of 5 or 6 players to put up front instead of vokes. Bursik for starters |
