Mmmm - I'd rather have seen Cousins start than Thompson but I guess he needs a rest. Same goes for Fletcher I suppose but a front 2 of Brown and Vokes doesn't fill me with confidence. Perhaps it is the Ali "rope a dope" strategy - we keep it scoreless for 70 minutes and then bring on Verlinden and Someone else and run riot? Mmmm, corrected the small spelling errors at the end of your sentence Perhaps it is the Ali "rope a dope" strategy - we keep it scoreless for 70 minutes and then..hang on for a dour goaless draw whilst watching the clock as much as the football for the last seven minutes.

No Cousins is a strange one, and Vokes up front is worrying. And then there is Joe Allen. Really hope I’m proven wrong, but I just don’t see how he’s walking straight back into the side. I still dont know what he’s supposed to be. He lacks the discipline to play as a defensive midfielder, and doesn’t have the creativity to be useful as a more attacking force. His main attribute is his energy, but it usually results in chaos. Interesting to see how he looks after such a long lay-off, but I really don’t think he brings anything to the side. Thompson will 'sit' you'd think Allen job is to move the play away from our goal towards their goal quickly without simply hoofing it. Thompson is inferior to Cousins in that role.

I'd rather have Cousins in there but if we're going to rest him after eight games in December it might be better to do it against Forest rather than Bournemouth.
Can't be arsed to check but given the fixture pile-up his 720+ minutes in a single calendar month might be some sort of record for a Stoke player, though Chester could equal it tonight.

Thompson doesn’t look like somebody that can play the sitting role, and while a fully-fit Allen may have the drive to move the ball quickly upfield, his distribution is generally awful, and he gives up possession far too often. I just don’t get the love-in for Allen at all. He’s been ducking awful for 90% of his time here, despite having endless opportunities to shine. I would have preferred to see Mikel back in the side over fully fit Allen, never mind an Allen that hasn’t played a competitive game in months.

Knockhart always plays well against us He's been slaughtered about his weight apparently. My uncle, a forest fan, seems to think they've had to rent Paul William's old shorts for him He’s a cheating little prick as well

I cant think I've seen Allen do that at all during his time with us. His first touch usually ends in a tackle. He just runs for 90mins.

What’s the shortest time for a fully fit player to be subbed?
Shawcross for Vokes after 3:20 minutes?

Going for the draw again. Lovely. It's annoying cos you'd have won this game if you were in charge. We would have won this game with my grandson in charge never mind Bayern

He obviously feels Cousins needs a rest. Picking Allen over Clucas or Mikel is a strange one given they're all returning from injuries.

Come on you big fat useless piece of crap let’s see you at least put a shift in. Feel sorry for cousins, the lad has been one of our better players. Obviously he may have got a knock who knows. Your comment was spot on before your 'edit' Clyde. In all these years I don't think I've seen you more upset! Just remember though it could get a whole lot fcukin worse. That spineless piece of shit is on the bench! I don't get it! Why if Clucas and Mikel are fit enough for the bench do we not start them? and then sub them if necessary later? We seem content to try and nullify any threat first half and then try to chase the game after 65 - 75 mins if we've conceded or feel we may just nick one. Why not try to dominate the play first half and knock the stuffing out of them and then shut up shop later, which we know we can do? My colours re Vokes and Ince are nailed to the mast however, I hope Vokes scores first half and Ince either scores or gets an assist for any of our lads in the 2nd. Above all I just hope they both man up for once and we look like we have a team of eleven on the bloody pitch.

What the hell is with rushing Allen back in for Cousins, who's been doing great? Is MON star-struck or something? And miss the chance of having the ultimate teachers pet duo in midfield? Tbf with the games played Cousins probably did need a rest but to see Thompson still in is just awful. Yawn, haters gonna hate.

Diego Costa became available on a free a few minutes ago. He's an upgrade on Vokes, for sure.
He can't join a club that's in direct competition to his former club, which is where we come in. All we need is someone to pay his wages. Are you listening, Tony?

Vokes won’t last 90 so expect Ince on later playing up with Brown and Powell. Would rather give Verlinden 15, but not sure MON will. Clucas and/or Mikel will come on but doubt both will. This highlights the need for firepower options in the up and coming window.

What does teachers pet Brown have to do to get dropped? Thought he had a pretty good game against Coventry and was involved in much of what we did well going forward.

Cousins didn’t deserve to be dropped, Thompson should have made way if Allen was starting Has he been dropped? or is he being rested due to the fact he has played alot of football recently.Think he's played every minute since Mikel was injured hasn't he?
