Where’s Sturridge now? Also Matt Phillips from WBA still only 29. Don’t think he’s getting much gametime at the moment.

We are still going to have to clear some of the dead wood shite we have (and that massively includes Vokes) before we can get anyone half decent as nothing has changed around FFP.

He's going to have to be. Can't see another option at present.

We can't replace him so maybe we should try and get a better balance, a better right sided attacker than Brown, a better striker to come on and rotate with Fletcher.
Osayi-samuel at QPR is out of contract next summer.
As for a striker we need a loan.

If we can't afford to bring anyone in this is a massive opportunity for Jacob Brown

Isn't Cosgrove more a number 9?

We are still going to have to clear some of the dead wood shite we have (and that massively includes Vokes) before we can get anyone half decent as nothing has changed around FFP. I did mention a few days ago that FFP and the cock up called Vokes, Wimmer, N'Daiye, Ince and Etebo would be what screws us up this season - I didn't think it would happen this quick though. I think the club would have "pushed the boat out" in January if we were there or thereabouts the top 2 but can't see anything other than a tightening of the belt and grinding out results for the rest of the season and go again next year when(hopefully) some of these wasters are out of contract.

It would cost £15m plus to replace him
We can maybe get someone with pace, or technique
But not both 👎🏻

Dong out for Dwight Gayle Or could we tempt Ivan Toney away from Brentford Brom are after getting him back If we are still hovering round the top of the league around January it must be easier to get someone who would prefer a title challenge to a relegation battle

If we can't afford to bring anyone in this is a massive opportunity for Jacob Brown No chance he has the quality to replace what Campbell brings. In fact, I’m not sure there’s anybody out there that similar to him. Anyone we get will be a downgrade, and it might mean a change in formation for MON.

How realistic a proposition might Gray on loan be?
Slightly worrying that Rodgers hasn't been able to get a tune out of him but maybe he needs to drop down a level to get some confidence back?

Like I say if we can't afford to bring anyone in under FFP, we may have little choice If we can bring someone in, Malik Wilks at Hull would be my choice. Not in Ty's class but knows where the net is and presumably wouldn't cost a load

While this is a massive blow to the team I have faith in MON's ability to motivate Verlinden to see that this is his opportunity that must be seized now. Put him on the right and move Brown central with Fletcher. Let's hope injuries slow down so we don't have to see Vokes again. We have lots of quality that will be returning from injury but we may need to tighten up and play a different style without Tyrese.

Our January business will very much be dependent on us getting any of Wimmer, Bauer, Vokes or Ince off the books.
I won't be holding my breath.

Argh ok, thought Hulls owners were cashing in on anything they could and hence we may get him reasonably cheap. If that's not the case then it's unlikely

What about Charlie Austin?
Has only played 45 mins of PL football for WBA this season. His contracts also due to expire in the summer.
Scored 10 in 34 championship games for WBA last season.

Not totally sure how players insurance works but I’m sure that all campbells wages are now taken out care of and would have thought that there was some Contingency in the policy to loan in a replacement, which would cover the FFP problem

He’s clearly not made the progress that we hoped he would. Injuries haven’t helped of course but are we really suggesting him as Campbell’s replacement? They don’t even play in the same position.
