Just a championship hardened centre forward would do. Someone like Fletcher just a bit fitter and less likely to get injured. Billy Sharp or even Glen Murray? Would take Glen Murray. Never been pacy, but a very experienced striker with a knack of scoring important goals...anything is better than enduring Vokes.

With some many younger players being linked/ recruited, it may point to a more experienced striker option, if in fact we are looking at a striker?. Sharp is still involved actively at Sheff Utd?. I can't think of many others, Murray apart?.

No doubt the fans won't agree with who it is but that's Stoke fans for you.

I think you are right, Dave alluded to us seemingly having a plan this window. I am sure a striker will arrive, if not this week, certainly next..

Central options are obviously few and far between.
If I had to plump for one today and we could do a Luton on Watford (terminate and convert an existing loan from 'them' to 'us') then, yes, Murray could add a real threat.
Over to "Dave" * to rock up with some better options.
* See above.

Shane Long must be on the radar as a loan option or perhaps Iheanacho, Leicester preferred Perez against us in the cup

I still liked the look of that lad Wilkes from Dull (ex Leeds) and (at the time, not with hindsight) & would gladly have taken him over Brown - & for less too, probably. Looked much more of a direct TC replacement to the untrained eye (mine) anyway. Bit rough around the edges maybe (but that's what a 'coach' is for after all) but players at that level is the market & budget we're dealing with. And,as I cba, any and all stattos please feel free to slaughter me with his terrible stats so far this season ...

Iheanacho?
Mmmm. Haven't Leicester actually managed to do what I had previously thought only Stoke could do?
Take a decent, prospect player and 'name' from a (very) good club and turn him into a complete also ran at a stroke.
Edit:
Ooops. Not sure why my phone has emboldened my argument but there we are ...
