Given the lack of funds and the fact there are no affordable free agents out there we have to look within. Ince has to get a chance. I’ve berated him more than anyone- his efforts have, at times, been pathetic. However MON should be gearing him up for a massive opportunity to turn his nose diving career around. He’s , sadly, the best option for the R hand side.
He’s done it at this level - he has it in him- time for him to earn his money.
Verlinden must be given game time as well- we know he has creativity and perhaps a goal in him.
We could also massively do with 2 of our other main goal threats fit asap- Allen and Clucas. Time for Clucas to play in a more advance role for me once Allen fit alongside Mikel or Cousins.
We just need weather the storm and pick up what we can until others of fit.... if that means more points on the road like say I’m happy with that.

He’s clearly not made the progress that we hoped he would. Injuries haven’t helped of course but are we really suggesting him as Campbell’s replacement? They don’t even play in the same position. He seemed to make his senior breakthrough at Bolton, didn't he? He shone there in difficult circumstances. He's 21 now, so it's his time to do something if he's going to. He's been 'fit' now for 3 months. It's probably now or never in terms of his Stoke career. Suppose it's possible he could go on loan to Leagur 1 again in January. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/thibaud-verlinden/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/338673His career appearances are pretty much split 50-50 on both flanks

Verlinden will be going out on loan again in January.

Verlinden easy. Or Ince. No idea why neither didn’t start yesterday. One is shite and lost any swagger once had. The other is unproven and coming off a long term injury (and he doesn't seem to impress the manager who has given loads of youngsters a chance before you say he is a coward).

Very odd.

He has integrated the young players sensibly and steadily not like your world where everything is black and white.

Duncan Watmore. He's on a short contract at Middlesbrough (so I read) until mid January. They are trying to get him to sign with them for longer. Apparently some Championship clubs are interested. He scored 2 yesterday. Was a prolific scorer before injury, & is on his way to recovery. But as I say, he scored yesterday, so must be getting his mojo back.

Keenan Lewis potter of Hull as well as Wilkes or Diakate of Peterbrough would be worth taking a look at.

His replacement needs to have pace as well as an eye for goal Yeah, there's no point signing just any old striker, we've got Fletcher and Gregory for that. We need someone who can play wide in a front 3.

If we can't afford to bring anyone in this is a massive opportunity for Jacob Brown He's had his opportunities this season already and its not looking great so far.

I'd be going all out for either Dwight Gayle or Liam Delap on loan, or even sign Gayle permanently if we can, I think he's out of contract in the summer so it's their last chance of getting a fee for him unless of course he signs a new deal. Do you actually follow the game?

We are still going to have to clear some of the dead wood shite we have (and that massively includes Vokes) before we can get anyone half decent as nothing has changed around FFP. I did mention a few days ago that FFP and the cock up called Vokes, Wimmer, N'Daiye, Ince and Etebo would be what screws us up this season - I didn't think it would happen this quick though. I think the club would have "pushed the boat out" in January if we were there or thereabouts the top 2 but can't see anything other than a tightening of the belt and grinding out results for the rest of the season and go again next year when(hopefully) some of these wasters are out of contract. We're not screwed, Private Frazer.

I agree, he's not a goal threat but his running gives others more space and stops the defence stepping up easily, its a bit like Cousins really, you want better but if what he offers helps others to play their game he's the better option.

Agree, thought he was surprisingly good as a stop gap for Fletcher. He gives defenders much more to think about than Vokes or Gregory. Offers very little out wide though.

Plenty of names on here.... Obafemi seems available on loan for anyone who'd take him. Although I saw some comments from Hassenhuttl that weren't positive recently. Barker is a strange one. I remember he was really rated as a youngster at Man City, but he's fading into obscurity. Daon't know much about many on the gamble list
