Tom Curran is shit. I have nothing else to say...... He’s a throwback to those all rounders from the 1990s who ain’t much cop with bat or ball. His wee brother isn’t much better but probably just about merits a position as the 4th seamer batting at #8. But only when Woakes isn’t available. If we want a left arm seamer, we should pick a bona fide left hand seamer. Like, for instance, Topley, who, as you say, has been impressive today. That isn’t too surprising - he is a proper bowler! Speaking of proper bowlers... I wonder at what point do we start putting Stokes into the category of being a part time bowler. In the same way we think of Root’s off spin; worth a try from time to time but not something we depend on. And, while I’m in rant mode, what about proper keepers. I’ve just about run out of patience with Buttler as glovesman in anything other than T20s. Woakes and Topley for the Curran bothers makes the team far stronger. Buttler perhaps should have given Bairstow the gloves especially with him being captain, he's been sloppy......

Well, this is good fun isn’t it.
Edit... how well timed was that comment! Stokes gone for 99 off 50 odd balls smashing sixes left, right and centre.

Buttler is starting to wind me up......... Couldn’t do much with that tbh It was a cracking delivery. Definitely a case of good bowling not poor batting.

Great effort. A great Sunday ahead now. Mr Livingstone doesn't want for confidence does he.

Great entertainment by both sides. Stokes and Bairstow what a great few minutes watch 175 runs and a confident cameo from Livingstone.

Walk in the park was that, Wood for Tom Curran for the last game and I think we'll beat them.....

Last of the ODIs underway, and the end of England’s cricketing winter.
(Not to worry, the IPL kicks off next week).
Only change for England is Wood in for Tom Curran. I wonder if we’ve seen the last of Curran senior.
Still we’ve got Curran junior to entertain us. I think his jacket though is also on a shoogly peg with Topley now getting a look in. Neither Curran should be playing IMO - not good enough with bat or ball - albeit Sam would be a tidy #8 with the bat, shame his bowling is so anodyne.

Quite staggering that we’ve won 10 out of the 12 tosses across the three formats.
Topley and Curran have started woefully here.

Looks to me like India have taken a page out of England’s book and decided to step on the gas harder in the opening power play. On a good pitch like this it makes life difficult for the opening bowlers. And both have found it tough so far. Must admit I’ve been surprised at India’s batting tactics in this series. They got away with it in the first game, but not in the second game. So, maybe not a surprise to see that change.

Not a great bowling effort so far in very hot conditions. India should be looking for over 350 and the getting at least 2 wickets in the power play. This is what Sunday’s are for😀

In the last game England were on track for a score around 400.
In this game, on what I heard folk saying is an even better batting track and seeing India’s approach in the power play, England could well need to put in a similar effort with the bat this time.

I think they had to change, they know they will need a minimum of 350 to put England under pressure and that kind of score just isn’t possible if you’re only scoring 40 in the powerplay. I think they’ll target Mo in the middle overs too, after seeing how England took apart their spinners in the last game I doubt they’ll just milk him around for 40 odd again.

Two big wickets from Rash, interesting that they’ve sent Pant in. If we can get him early their chances of a 350+ score will diminish quite quickly.
