Cheers badge! Definitely going to be a harder experience this time round, given my lower starting weight and building back up fitness wise, but I'm confident once I've fully taken control of things I'll be back to where I at least was 4/5 months ago. Just requires patience, and that's a good quality to have when it comes to weight and muscle build. Always harder when you have a bird in tow aswell, the contentment kicks in. That’s my excuse anyway. But it is true that you tend to ignore yourself a bit in favour of making the woman happy. I think🤔 Pretty much what I found really. We were going for a lot of meals and having treats in those first couple months, as you do. It was nice to reach that contentment stage, because it showed me I met a good'un who I feel incredibly relaxed with. Of course I've seen the side effects of that now ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif) - totally worth it though I think.

I do remember him , as you describe Dee. I remember a maths teacher called Mildenhall, only there a short time, may have been supply....assaulted me for no reason, never gave an explanation.....In today's climate, things would have turned out differently. Rocky Turner used to " cane" people with anything he could get hold of....Slippers, canes, pieces of broken chairs. One day he could not find anything , was getting angrier and angrier.....ended up breaking up a chair....which seemed to be still usable When did you go HH. 1966-71 What about you?

Still, the fact you’ve decided to get back on it speaks volumes about your character. Great stuff pal👍🏻

Booked in for a vascular bypass in my legs/pelvis in two weeks. Never been in hospital before. Apparently my groin is going to be ‘ cored’. Sounds most unpleasant. Off work for at least 6-8 weeks. Should be able to walk again after without the constant pain I’m currently in. Right knee diseased as well but I think that’s a separate op. A tad worried but in the NHS I trust. 👍

Basically I’ve got blocked arteries and little or no circulation in my legs. So my groin is going to be opened, scraped out ( hope the scalpel doesn’t slip), my ‘ plumbing’ re routed and a stent inserted in my pelvis. About a 4 hour plus op. Wonder if you still get bed baths?

It’s a yes from me 😳😳😳 You’ll be back on the wheel in no time mate. They know what they’re doing these medical types. It’s because they’re really clever, had the best training and are using tip-top equipment. You’ll be reet.

Yeah, and maybe when they make you Miss Hamsta you’ll get a nurse rather than Julian.

After it’s done Mrs H wants to take me to Scotland to recuperate. Given my Christmas ‘experience’ I don’t think that’s a good idea.

Hamsta, All the best. I had three stents in my heart in 2017.....the procedure was not too bad at all. Intact I'd even say it was quite interesting! As has been said these surgeons are amazing and their mindset is to treat it like a plumbing job Possibly the thinking about it may be worse....although I didn't have a lot of time to think, as it was a day after a heart attack. After your epic experiences amongst the savages in Scotland it will be a doddle ! I look forward to your account of life in hospital !

The doctors and nurses I have found to be brilliant and I'm sure it will be the same in your case. All the best with the op Hamsta 👍

Can confirm the needles in the japseye is one hundred percent correct as I had them before my op. They were huge needles but I quite enjoyed them before I nodded off to be fair.
