How many times is it going to be 'poor old Stoke, what could we do' before someone asks why is it always 'poor old Stoke what could we do' before someone pays the price for it always being 'poor old Stoke what could we do? This 1000%. It's endemic and it's criminal these people overseeing said deals keep their jobs. To be honest if anyone thinks they could get 30mill for Jack give them a job and lets see!

You just know he's gonna save the first penalty he faces for Palace.

This is the problem, should have been sold for £10M after our first season in the Championship ! Easy to say in hindsight though!

How many times is it going to be 'poor old Stoke, what could we do' before someone asks why is it always 'poor old Stoke what could we do' before someone pays the price for it always being 'poor old Stoke what could we do? To be fair though, we are clearing up a pretty unprecedented pile of pretty smelly shit that's accumulated. And, in getting rid of it, we're going to have to get our hands a bit mucky. There was never going to be an easy way to get rid of a load of players that we paid tens of millions for, and are being paid as if they're top players, who are worth tens of pence. Through our own terrible mistakes admittedly, this hand we've been playing since the Rowett summer of overspending put the tin lid on Hughes' awful last couple of years, and further compounded by Jones' car crash was always going to be pretty shitty with no good ways out It's just a never ending cycle of bad outcomes without consequence or responsibility though FM. When's it ever going to end?

Did he make his premier league debut against Crystal Palace? Or was that Liverpool at home and then his first start was against Palace? Something like that. And he had an absolute worldie of a game.
Good luck Jack.

When's it ever going to end? True - just waiting to see if the MON/Aldridge partnership can see a return to a bit of sanity. I wouldn't fancy anyone dealing with the mess created between maybe the Berahino signing and the demise of Nath. Of course, your mate's still here, but that seems to be baked into the Coates pie, so we'll have to deal with it!

He'll be second choice........... Hennessey, the Spanish lad and Henderson are all better than Butland, so fourth choice Hennessey is injured for months, Henderson will be below Butland in the pecking order whether you think he'd better or not. So 2nd choice.....

It's a sad end really. Potentially could've been a club great, he'll prob be remembered more for his dramatic decline.
All the best.

The complete mess that he inherited and the fact that by Christmas we were dead and buried, I think he's worked miracles. I think he's gonna be a great Stoke manager, very Macari esque.

Just another one for the TS crimes sheet another terrible outcome for the role responsible for all football related matters according to the board but who only actually counts the beans for £800, 000 a year according to some in here . Incidentally if it was the latter he’s over paid by about 750k a year for a business this size on this trajectory of earnings According to a poster in here he has a untouchable feel of Escobar about him so all we can hope is he goes for a metaphorical roof top walk shortly .

So 2nd choice..... He is fourth choice their three other keepers are far superior than Butland, the other three are foreigners. He is only there to make up the home country numbers. He will probably never play a first team competitive game for them

That first season he was number 1 he was absolutely incredible and that cannot be forgotten, we were utter shit the first 10 games and he single handedly stopped us being rock bottom with a horrific goal difference.
Such a shame it came to this and we couldn’t profit more from it.
Good luck Jack.

I think it was Jones' fixation with a diamond system without the right players that was the real problem

Good luck to Jack hope you gain your pre 2016 confidence again and one quick message on penalties you do not need to fall slowly to right their are other options. Also lots of talent at an early age predicted to be next big thing has a down turn it is how you return. You have the talent to be challenging for the England shirt again please make it happened.
