He is fourth choice their three other keepers are far superior than Butland, the other three are foreigners. He is only there to make up the home country numbers. He will probably never play a first team competitive game for them Hennessey and Henderson are both home grown players............. Hennessey is Welsh Henderson is Irish

Galling though it may be, I hope this move helps him to resurrect his career. Always seemed a decent bloke and I wish him well.

Just another one for the TS crimes sheet another terrible outcome for the role responsible for all football related matters according to the board but who only actually counts the beans for £800, 000 a year according to some in here . Incidentally if it was the latter he’s over paid by about 750k a year for a business this size on this trajectory of earnings According to a poster in here he has a untouchable feel of Escobar about him so all we can hope is he goes for a metaphorical roof top walk shortly . Thought his pay was nearer £900 k. Fooking joke .

I sincerely hope it goes well for him. A great lad who has always conducted himself well around the club. Just a pity he threw the ball in the net at Leicester.

I hope he plays for them and rediscovers his form. Personally I think he's always given his all, he's been unlucky but he definitely cared.
Good luck Jack.

You just know he's gonna save the first penalty he faces for Palace. No he won't. Can't ever see him playing for their first team. He will be fourth choice He's one of two fit keepers

He'll be second choice........... Hennessey, the Spanish lad and Henderson are all better than Butland, so fourth choice Hennessy is injured Henderson?

Had a few gripes with some of your performances but wish you all best Jack, don't think you were as bad as some make out but when it comes to football we all have opinions but best wishes all the same Jack.

Bye Jack.. when I was sober I wasn't arsed in the slightest, now I'm a bit tipsy I'm slightly emotional about the whole thing.. not sure what relevance that has. Anyways, good luck.

Good luck Jack, hope things work out well for you.
Thanks for all you did for Stoke, in a long line of great keepers.
Shame about the injury playing for England and the prolonged lay off which messed up your form and career. Hope you get it back on track. Clearly sitting on the bench at Stoke was no good for you and I hope your future ambitions are achieved.

Mixed feelings about his time, during that breakthrough season he was world class,it was a joy.
Just can't believe how his form nosedived, he seems a good guy, I hope he does well there.

Hennessey, the Spanish lad and Henderson are all better than Butland, so fourth choice Hennessy is injured Henderson? You must know Stephen Henderson. That 32 year old with zero Premier League appearances and 78 Championship appearances to his name..............

Such a shame how it ended because he was fantastic for us up until his injury in 2016 and even after that I couldn't fault his commitment and effort. I genuinely think he chose to stay after relegation when he could have gone back to the Premier League too. Just unfortunately for whatever reason his performance level just wasn't there consistently after his return from injury and it has to be said, last season he was utterly atrocious all season and should have been dropped long before he finally was.
I really wish him well and I hope the change of scenery helps him to regain his form. Here's where we'll find out whether his poor form was a result of going stale at Stoke and sinking under the culture of failure that has gripped the club over the last 5 years. Or whether something permanently has gone wrong with him either mentally or a lasting physical issue from his bad injury and he's never going to recover his form. I really hope he can find it.
