How long can Michael O’Neill escape criticism?
Do I want him gone ...fuck no but I’ll tell you what he’s got to start taking some of the blame for this shambles and team selection

Since the restart he's been totally naive. He's the reason we're still in the argument but you can't set up like this and expect anything other than we've seen.
But ultimately, we were broken long before he arrived. In the blame stakes he falls pretty low. Nothing will change either.

Team selection looked dodgy as fuck as soon as it was announced - NJ-style panic stations of changing six players after a defeat (plus subbing Sorensen after 40 minutes on Saturday was what Jones did to Tymon).
He’s not to blame for the longer term issues but it’s been a disaster for the manager tactically since the return.
Think MON will walk when we go down to be honest.

The last two matches have looked scarily like the Jones era. We created enough chances to win at the weekend but scored zero, followed by lots of changes and a very poor performance tonight.

Why cant we get a normal manager, who picks a team which 90% of the fan base knows is best.
Ask yourselfs a question how many times in the past 12 months have you seen a team line up and felt optimistic, just happy he has picked the best side we have? Very very few i bet

I don't know how big part MON is exactly playing in this, but if we'd play Vale or Crewe now we would probably lose to both. That's how bad we are.

The kick in the Bollox for me is that despite our impending relegation, Rowett (definitely) and can you imagine (Nathan Jones) managing Championship sides next year whilst we are managed by O’Niell in the 3rd tier.🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

I've just said on the match thread I'll be surprised if he didnt pack his bags and walk out tonight.

the subs he brought on were shite too so it doesn't really matter who he selected at the start

The players are a bunch of unlikable, overpaid, over rated, pathetic individuals.
However O’Neil seemed to be getting us over the line relatively comfortably. Seemed to be keeping it quite simple & I wasn’t concerned at all about relegation.
However since the restart he has lost the plot. He has to come out & accept some responsibility. The players have just reverted back to type & the manager is making crazy decisions.
He looks completely out of his depth at the moment, random team selections, picking his favourites & completely unable to influence a game.
Saturday is massive, a must win game.

Three team sheets in a row have been diabolical and his interview, turning on the players, after Saturday was disgraceful and opened him up for serious scrutiny after his selections and tactics.
His 433 isn't working and he's started to shift the team around in desperation.
He's done nothing but give those work shy tossers an excuse to underperform.

He picked the worse starting 11 tonight and also bought arguably one of the worst players in the squad in Thompson....and picks Ince.....and Cousins....and Ward......

Many of us said it was the wrong appointment at the time and so it’s proving not because he’s a bad guy but because it needed a course and distance Winner who’d tear down the walls of vested interest but that’s why the appointment was made We simply couldn’t afford a novice in this league
Can anyone believe Pulis , warnock etc would have signed Thomson and the boy from spurs for a relegation battle

Do I want him gone ...fuck no but I’ll tell you what he’s got to start taking some of the blame for this shambles and team selection I’m happy to cut him some slack, I don’t think he’s covered himself in glory but in the absence of Allen he’s searching for combinations that just aren’t there. And aside from Allen out two best players Powell and Clucas have had lobotomy’s during lockdown. Not sure how much that week before the restart when he was isolating hindered us either. He doesn’t escape criticism, but my God just to get these wasters above the relegation zone is a miracle.....

Only the suicide "bomb" squad could get us out of this....
Christ I recon wimmer, etbo , badou ,diouf , Bauer , Edwards , davies
Could do just better....
Very poor bring on a clear out and send out the 23s for some experience

I can see a club statement looming and a capped man in the dugout on Saturday, the only thing that has changed in the last 2 or so years is the willingness to change the manager at the drop of a hat. Coates will be desperate to avoid the drop and will do the only thing he knows which is to break the glass and bring him back.
I don’t want that but I could really see it......

Mick his 3 team selections since lockdown have been nothing short of scandalous but why🤔 It started at Luton mate with his second half subs ...and it ended during his interview on Saturday. I said after the 4 goal win at Barnsley on his first game that things will be fine and dandy until he upset them. Well he has lost the dressing room. That much is clear.

Bollox when he took over we were 5 point adrift at the bottom. Poor players by previous managers 6

The squad is terrible, so no one could turn them into a team. League One next season? We may just stay up, but next season will be no different.

Today is on him, we know already this doesn't work from previous seasons, we know from the last two games it doesn't work so what does he do, plays the same shite again and then makes it 10 times worse and plays Ward and Collins at full back and an imobile Vokes up front on his own.
Its not good enough, no wonder there's no fight in them, they know as well as we do this won't work yet they have to keep ploding along doing the same old shit again.
