Anyone we brought in was going to look better than Jones. O’Neill was deemed the Messiah far too early.

Any manager who thinks vokes can play up front on his own is totally out of his depth. The man can’t move when he has a strike partner so no chance on his own

How long can Michael O’Neill escape criticism? Do I want him gone ...fuck no but I’ll tell you what he’s got to start taking some of the blame for this shambles and team selection I’m happy to cut him some slack, I don’t think he’s covered himself in glory but in the absence of Allen he’s searching for combinations that just aren’t there. And aside from Allen out two best players Powell and Clucas have had lobotomy’s during lockdown. Not sure how much that week before the restart when he was isolating hindered us either. He doesn’t escape criticism, but my God just to get these wasters above the relegation zone is a miracle..... There’s no way he can avoid rotating the players with games coming thick and fast This wouldn’t be happening with only 1 game per week However all teams are in the same situation and we need to compete Strongest 11 possible to start on Saturday

Tonight is on him.
Again the side he selected has played exactly how I’d expect it.
How can you select that side and think it won’t get battered?

This stems back to Mark Hughes. Should never have got rid of Tony Pulis. I used to get slated on P&G and on her for asking for Tony back

Literally everything he's done since the resumption has been a complete shit show. Eventually you can't run away from that.

He’s failing a Noble effort but coming up short no ifs and but what that proves is it’s not about the managers it’s about the environment when we go down
Tony Scholes needs to leave first and a administrator appointed to that role A proper football man in the Board room who appoints the manager . Given our backing I stil think we could get two talented and high profile people in those roles if Scholes and his process are banished

Doesn't need to be, its there for all to see, since the lock down he's done nothing to help, he had it so right before and he's ripped it up and wonders why its not working.

Sorry Michael I thought you’ve been brilliant up to now but that selection was just a surrender I’m afraid!
We surely should have packed the midfield at least if we were going to try and shut up shop? Let’s see what he has to say?

Something must have gone on during this lockdown.
I've said it before but it looks to me like a few of this squad have taken the absolute piss during isolation.
And the manager has lost his marbles!

I've just said on the match thread I'll be surprised if he didnt pack his bags and walk out tonight. I fucking would. He’s got enough credit in world football to fuck this shambles off and be completely honest in the media as to why the club is cursed. It would be an interesting listen.

His team selection and tactics have been appalling since the return. Thompson isn’t league 1 standard. Neither is cousins. Letting Woods go was an appalling decision. That midfield is league 2 standard. His call to effectively replace Thompson with woods. We signed Oakley boothe and he’s not had a kick since lockdown? Not fit? Or just shit? Ince and Butland get picked no matter how badly they play. It’s just a shit show.

I'm just feeling absolutely gutted tonight.
It's almost like the players came away from that 5-1 win against Hull before lockdown and assumed that we were safe.
Since the restart we've look so, so poor.
All of the momentum that we had has gone and we've played with a real lack of energy, enthusiasm and desire.
The thought of this club slipping into the third tier terrifies me. I think this is the first time this season that I've genuinely lost hope!

The blame game for team selection is pointless. Recruitment over the last 3 years or so has been dreadful and nobody could pick a team out of the absolute garbage of this squad as a whole. No left back No midfield now Allen is injured No pace up front or wide Players who cannot control or pass a ball I don't care which eleven is put out at the moment. How O'Neill managed to get them off the bottom pre-lockdown is a miracle in itself. Who would I keep? Collins and Sorenson and they have it to prove. And finally I am sick of cowards playing for my Club - Clucas and Ince to name but two And I am sick of players who have no ability to be a professional footballer.

How is it pointless, yes we're in the shit anyway but he had them getting results, it was working enough to give him a proper chance next season of getting his own players in, sorting out the problems and to get it right, since lock down he's thrwon all that away.

No nor me. Everything was about the shit selection. People saying Ward couldn’t be worse than Indi. We know he is. We know it for a fact. He can’t run. Everything came down that side and he couldn’t do anything. And ffs play Clucas as one of the two deeper CMs. He’s tried giving him a floaty free role in 3 games now and he’s floated nowhere where he was needed leaving two League One players to try hold the fort.

Clucas can't float, he's to worried knowing the players in the middle aren't up to it, I'm not sure what he sees in Thompson tbh, he doesn't do anything, a decent corner taker maybe but he's lost in the game. Its a big worry that O'Neill can't see why its not working.
