DJ has made tomorrow slightly boring. He was unbelievable today though. He doesn’t seem to have received much credit from the Sky commentary team though for some reason. Is that because his dominance has made for a boring spectacle as regards who wins? Behind Johnson it’s a good battle. On another note, some of the driving off the tee has been really poor, or am I being harsh?

Anyone managed to book a tee time when the courses reopen on Monday? It's fucking easier to get Glastonbury tickets than to book a tee online at my club - sit clicking refresh whilst the clock ticks down to the release time, refresh again and then boom! They're all fucking booked up in a millisecond Managed to get one for next Saturday though, however I dread to think what state my game will be in after nearly four months of not playing.

From what I have been hearing it’s the same everywhere. A well known club near me are advertising for new members whilst the existing members can’t get on the fully booked course! Disgrace really.

One of local courses has a foot golf course which sounds quite fun.
As I mentioned on another thread, the closest course to me is/was setting up a frisbee golf course but the container ship sank on its way over, in a storm. Can’t imagine what may occur after events this week.

Whats everyone's views on Memberships.
This is where im at. Alsager CG is near 900 quid for year.
I work full time so to justify a membership at some places id need to play 3 or 4 times a week. With me working 5 days a week i cant though.
I get there are places that offer reduced membership. At the mo for me its pay as you play.

Memberships do seem expensive when you first start looking into it but generally a round of golf nowadays is on average £25. Over a year you’d only have to play 40 times to get more than your money’s worth. I play at least twice a week in the light nights/summer and try to play at least every weekend in the winter so it’s well worth it for me personally.

I joined Barlaston at the start of the first lockdown after not being a member anywhere for a good 10 years or more.
They had an offer on - £500 for the year. Got my money's worth over the summer as I'd get a round in pretty much every weekend as well as going up there a couple of nights a week do just do 9 holes whilst it was still light until late.
From late September onwards though you either couldn't book a tee for love nor money or it was closed due to lockdown. The robbing cunts have said that there'll be no extension of anyone's membership though, despite it being shut for four months.
It's a nice course and friendly club but they can kiss my crinkled fartbox if they think I'll be renewing at double the price next year.
