I lost 4 last night. I need to crack this driving lark. It's like I got to the studio hit it well. I get to the course and I loose it. I wonder weather it's a mental thing maybe. Like pressure on myself because im on the tee box . I did hit 3 or 4 good drives I'd been struggling to hit driver consistently also since starting to play again. Watched loads of YouTube tutorials and tried to put the advice into action but it was still a lottery as to whether I made decent connection/hooked/pulled. Today though I decided to go back to my original technique (which had previously returned varying degrees of success) and didn't hit a bad tee shot with the driver all round. Wasn't getting mega distance but they were all straight and I got them into the air like I used to. This morning was only my 7th round since starting to play regularly again so I can't decide if overthinking was causing me to be shit and disregarding the video advice helped, or if it was just a culmination of regular playing gradually bringing the muscle memory back. Conversely, my usually solid short game was utter Ince today 😂 Oh that’s catching on. That really is Clamtastic

For anyone looking for online tips, best coaching etc. Danny Maude is your man. Tips for the high handicappers and more - superb videos. Agree - Danny is excellent. He's the only on-line instructor I follow. His videos have helped me so much.

Im at a real low point with my game at the moment. My coach is going thru what I should be doing but struggling to grasp it. For those of you who know the term. I need to be hitting it more In to out. Im doing the opposite out to in. I chop down on the ba too much. My back swing is preventing greater distance. Been range up Keele tonight to work on it. Had 6 and 7 iron out and it went left right brley past 115 yards. Got very fed up.
Will keep at it.

I find his videos easy to follow and apply, although I’m definitely not in any position to be offering up much advice. There’s so many videos, books, theories and techniques out there that sometimes I think it’s just easier to go out and hit the ball without overthinking it. It’s a brilliant sport but infuriating at times.

It’s a brilliant sport but infuriating at times. It is your right. Yeah I do and he does do some good videos. My Coach is very good and I'm trying to do everything he tells me. In lessons it works but then sometimes like tonight it didn't. I know what he's telling me to do is right just trying to execute it is proving difficult. Biggest mistake was not having lessons when I was younger so I'm not changing a swing from one that was obviously full of bad habbits.

Any bets for The Masters? Obvious would be Bryson De Chamby thing. Jon Rahm at 10's is not great value... Tommy F or Justin R at 66/1 looks like value for an each way...

Looking forward to the masters as I now have what I call “Dodgy TV.com” and so should be able to view it and it coincides with the international break!
I do wonder what it will be like without the spectators? Like football they are an integral part of the game in my opinion.

I do wonder what it will be like without the spectators? Like football they are an integral part of the game in my opinion. I have been watching the TV golf coverage for a few weeks now and can't say I really notice the lack of fans on the coverage anymore. It doesn't really seem to be an issue for the players either, except for those players who used to rely on the spectators stopping their wayward shots.

I fancy Tyrell Hatton to be in contention come Sunday.
Rose e/w(top 8) @ 66/1 is well worth a go.

A large percentage of the Holes in One scored at my level that I know of have been FLUKES😀
Bouncing of pathways, hitting trees etc.
After 40 something years I have never had one 🤨🏌🏽♂️

Its a very precarious eachway market, rather go the 1/4 first 5 route. Than 1/5 or 1/6 first 10/11....you get into DH territory and its a pain in the arse. (although its same with 1/4 first 5, but lessens blow if 1/4)

" do you Brits say Autumn instead of Fall?" No we don't. We call the season between summer and winter ‘Autumn’ because that’s what it is called. It’s not called Autumn instead of anything else. It would be more accurate to say that Americans say ‘Fall’ instead of the correct term which is Autumn. ( I know ‘Fall’ had a brief moment of popularity around the 17th century (when we were exporting our language to you) but generally speaking it was ‘Autumn’ before and after the fall of Fall)
