Just finished Netflix's "Age of Samurai" 6-part documentary. Recommended, excellent graphics, costumes and reenactments. The landscape is beautiful and the fighting was brutal. I may have to look up some books on Japanese history down the road. I remember my uncle had the book "The Rise and Fall of the Japanese Empire" but I believe that only deals with WW2 era Japan. Was decent. Preferred the pirate one though.

I’ve just noticed Monos is on Netflix, it’s about a group of Colombian child soldiers training in the wilderness. Lord of the Flies vibe to it. I saw it at the London Film Festival at about 8:15am. I’ll be watching it again tonight.

The Death of Stalin
Brilliant cast, very funny, historically quite accurate and probably a good representation of the hypocrisy, backstabbing and incompetence of Soviet communism!

Watched the no mas one about Duran and Leonard this week they’re a brilliant watch. There’s one called “The 2 Escobars” which is top class. Films wise “Foxcatcher” is a great film and based on a true story around wrestling.

Total gear switch for Carrell but he nailed it.

My daughter's feller is an amateur film maker.. his most recent film had it's premier at Warner Bros studios last year. Wish I could share it with you, but as they're currently looking to sell it, I can't Here's a taste of Limbo though The film mentioned above has now been purchased and made public by a company called 'Dust'. Please feel free to like and comment as it all helps to raise exposure of this short film, which Andy hopes will be made into a feature length version at some point. We actually did our own local screening, the Christmas before last and a couple of posters here have already seen it... Hope you enjoy it, you'll soon find out why it got it's name 'LIMBO'

Palm Springs on Amazon Prime, a modern take on Groundhog Day. It’s absolutely hilarious, well paced and has something to say.
Watched Sound of Metal last night on Prime also, really good and I think Riz Ahmed will take home the Oscar. I was slightly disappointed overall though. It was quite predictable.
