Just about seen most of what I wanted now on GUSTATV free to stream site.
Saw a little known gem last night called Mississippi Grind, set around the world of cash poker and gambling, pretty good...maybe 7/10...
Any recommendations...

The isolation film thread (maybe a couple of pages down) has some good recommendations. Mississippi Grind made me think of Drive (a cracking film), as I thought Ryan Gosling was in both. But it turns out I mixed him up with Ryan Reynolds.
Nightcrawler is good too.

Some of the scenes may be unsuitable for you though.

I've mentioned this film on here before (and I'm pretty certain another user did as well, I remember chatting on a thread with them about it), but you should definitely watch Event Horizon. Top notch horror albeit with a visibly lower budget, which IMO adds to it's charm.
And if you're a fan of Warhammer (personally I'm not) it'd slot into the universe nicely thanks to warp drives, obvious influences. The brief scenes of hell in the film are as graphic as you will see but just adds to the fear factor of the film.

I can recommend a horror called The Black String. I was expecting some Blumhouse-style pile of crap but it was one of the best new horror films I've seen in a long time (and not many new horror films impress me).

Why did Quint smash the radio up? He was sick of Brody doing things by the book and wanted to focus on catching the big bitey fish Also Robert Shaw was permanently pissed on set and ad libbed half his script whilst upsetting Richard Dreyfuss at every opportunity

Not a film but Netflix mini series called The English Game. Basically early days of football and the battle between northern clubs vs the southern bias of the FA. Bit of mushy stuff for the girlies as well. Very good watch over 6 episodes.

Is that El Hoyo ? The platform cells with the food at the top ...Spanish film? Was good If it's about a bloke on a train platform waiting for the 7-15 to Accrington or something then not seen it If you like offbeat horror and a bit of blood, Tag from Japan is good fun

My daughter's feller is an amateur film maker.. his most recent film had it's premier at Warner Bros studios last year. Wish I could share it with you, but as they're currently looking to sell it, I can't Here's a taste of Limbo though

One of the greats. I loved Grand Torino another slightly less known film based on a true story is “Foxcatcher” which has some brilliant acting in it. Sports theme too. Some of the 30 for 30 Espn films are great too. One of my faves was “The two Escobars”
