Anyond else like any of the Wychwood Brewerys beers? I like the one they often have out at this time of year - Dunkel Fester is it? Can often be picked up in Aldi for less than £1 a bottle if your lucks in around now.

Lidl's wheatbeer, Patronus, is my main tipple recently, but it means a trip to either Leek or Tunstall to stock up. I've run out now My uncle died at the start of the year and his house was a whisky treasure trove so it'll be some if his Jura tonight in his honour.

Have a bottle of bunnahabhain from neighbouring Islay open at the minute and it's great. Not tried that Lidl gear so will give it a go. Found some Franziskaner at my da's recently so got through that for the first time in years. Great stuff. Drinking more lager than usual with the pubs shut as tend to drink Guinness or ale out, but not at home, for reasons I'd struggle to explain. Super Bock, Krombacher and Spaten mostly. All marvellous.

I have no shame in finding a discarded cardboard box from the back of one of the shelves and filling it up

A triple fruited Gose and some white wine. I've got about 30 or so proper pokey stouts to go at soon though.
Went on the hunt for Dunkel Fester in Aldi. No joy.

Here in the UK drinking at home is far cheaper than drinking out. Probably more dangerous as at this time of year it’s tempting to start earlier!
Covid has a lot to answer for. 🥃🤪⚓️

Shipyard Golden Ale, always enjoyed this beer, even more recently since I have stopped putting it in the fridge. Can't wait to be sitting in a boozer back home again drinking Real Ale.

Will be heading out shortly to hit a couple of breweries. Cincinnati has over 60! Any Hooters 🙃 Thankfully not. A new one opened near me a couple of years back. Went in one night when a friend was over from the UK. Was depressing. Tonight had 4 very good IPA's. 3 X 7.1%, 1 X 7.6%. Who said American beer was weak! Will have a glass of red shortly and then maybe a bourbon for the ditch.

You can get a 24 pack of shite (Bud, Bud light, Coors Light. Miller lite etc) for $16.99 but those are terrible.

Be careful tho 7.6% 🤪 Years ago yeah, down the Uncle Tom's Cabin in Stoke, that was back when beer was drunk for the sole purpose of getting absolutely annihilated though, so didn't really appreciate real ale like I do these days Not seen it recently though and certainly never seen it in Supermarkets in bottles. The only really strong dark ale that I get from the Supermarkets is Mcewan's Champion which is a beauty

I think I've mixed up and drank more cocktails since this damn COVID happy hour started than I've had my entire life. That can't be a good thing.

I don't do drinking in the house so pretty much been off the beer since August when I got back from Kazakhstan. I am now in SE Italy but there is a lockdown in force here as well so no bars are open. There was a craft ale bar in Kazakhstan that I used occasionally. It was 4x the price of the local place I used to drink in. My local beer was Kazakh and cost 80p for half a litre. In the craft beer bar I mainly used to drink Hobgoblin (is that considered a craft beer or mainstream?)at £4 a half litre bottle.

Don't drink at home, never really have. Love going for a pint in the pub after work and have done so for years. For me it's more of a social thing drinking, have a good chin wag and laugh with like minded lads. Then sup up go home tea telly and bed. Roll on the 02/12/20, I'm not used to this stopping in lark. Save some money but christ it's boring.

These chaps stock lots of different beers but I've just had a look and they don't have it either, over 1200 other IPA's listed there tho. www.beersofeurope.co.uk/search?term=Ipa
