watching The Bear on Disney.
Completely in love with it, but it can be a stressful watch. based around a chef in a busy kitchen, so it's shouty and I think for one episode there must have been a maximum of 10 seconds where there wasn't noise

I hated the film to be honest Baffled me the popularity No problem with the film but the only resemblance to it are the characters. Decent acting by original script but my god the script is dreadful. Didn't know was a TV show but will give a look out of curiosity Always find it odd how some say , low budget films really take off as opposed to others that are really good and don't. I guess how the industry works Films like Bottle Rocket I loved but was never huge compared to some awful films of the time.

New season of Top Boy was great. Thought it was okay but you could tell it's budget was slashed and it was a bit rushed. Very small cast considering compared to the previous seasons.

Just finishing off a few box sets then re watching 12 Mokeys (TV series) and Fringe both dated now but love this type of material, 12 Monkeys is seriously good and keeps you thinking

I haven’t watched the 20 minutes of the final episode for about three months now because I didn’t want it to end that badly.

Ah it's fantastic. The Christmas Episode is possibly one of the best acted and written I've ever seen. One of the most intense episodes of drama I think I’ve seen. Had to watch it in two sittings. The Bear is brilliant and uplifting. Hoping for a third season…”Yes Chef!”

Always found Mr Robot to be underrated. Giving it a rewatch now on ITVx now it's off Amazon Prime and it's as good as I remember.

It's a film not a series though

It was one of the best episodes of television I’ve ever seen. I think the world is suffering from a bit of Olivia Colman overkill but I must say she was fantastic, as she usually is.

All six series of The Americans are currently streaming on Channel 4. I started watching it ages ago but only saw the first two series, so I've re-started from the beginning and I'm currently part-way through series 5. Thoroughly recommended if you haven't seen it.

Watching The Gentlemen on Netflix, absolutely brilliant Love the film so I’m going give it a run. Waiting for shogun to finish hoping it’s just one season of that not dragging it out for no reason.

Rocknrolla is still his best in the genre though.

House of Ninjas worth a go on Netflix - gets a bit weird in places but still decent. Dubbing looks a bit dodgy in spots but the subtitles aren't too quick if you can be arsed.
Furies on Netflix is decent from the first few episodes - basically a female assassin is like VAR to the Paris underworld to keep the balance. The money launderer of the big cartels gets topped and they've to work out what's gong on. Bit Femme Nikita about it.

Winning Time Rise of The Lakers on Sky. Worth a watch and I know SFA about basketball. Very entertaining. Have you tried watching a basketball game all the way through to the end? Surely they can develop a trainer that doesn’t screech like treading on a mouse. It annoys me that much I can’t watch it

3 Body Problem is very good
Shogun is superb, best thing in a long time and better than the 80s version
The Regime is ok dark comedy that reminds me of the Death of Stalin a little
Dark City: The Cleaner is ok, bit silly and the acting seems on par with Prisoner Cell Block H at times
Masters of the Air lurches between incredible fight scenes to the most infuriating "America won the war singlehandedly" jingoistic rewriting of history last seen in a John Wayne b&w film of the 50s. It's meant to be a Band of Brothers for the air force but the characters are so arrogant and unlikeable I'm willing them to perish. I'm sure the real life air crew wouldn't be fans if they were here still it also ends abruptly. I FFWd through loads of it but worth watching for the air battles alone and really conveys the awfulness of if all and sacrifices made

Hugh Grant was just too much Watching the series it's a bit ham fisted but it is good fun Didn't like the ending the choice made by key character made no sense, at odds with the prior episodes 20 mins left. Noticed a blooper when she went to hug her mate underarm, then a seocnd later when the cam changed she was overarm. Can't believe they don't pick up on these basics.

Just started Ripley - entirely shot in B&W - one episode in and the only thing I take from it so far is that Saltburn is heavily influenced by Highsmith's character
Invincible is a cartoon series about superheroes, similar to the usual trope but differs in terms of the graphic consequences of violence, both physical and mental, well worth a watch if you like that sort of thing
