I have one episode of Better Call Saul remaining.
Is it better than Breaking Bad? As a whole, possibly. Breaking Bad has more individual outstanding episodes, but Better Call Saul may be better overall. And in a way even more tragic in its ending.

Watching Millennium on the BBC iPlayer, it's based on the excellent trilogy of books by Stieg Larsson that started with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Really enjoying it. It's very good isn't it 👍

A criminal with a big conscience. SPOILER ALERT for anyone who hasn't seen Breaking Bad (in white text that needs highlighting I hope): I was gutted when Mike died in Breaking Bad - it was such a pathetic death too!Lalo is one of my favourite villains. Absolutely superb. What a great cast. I wonder what Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould will do next.

I only subscribed to Netflix for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and it was to watch the final Better Call Saul series.

I don't normally like sorcery and wizardry fantasy but I'm enjoying this at around the season's halfway point 8/10 so far

I dunno, the series was ok, but the episodes were far too bloody long. Don't want to ruin it for him but yeah, that last episode is 2.5 hours Finally up to date. Not seen Breaking Bad which everyone raves about but for me Stranger Things has just eclipsed GOT. Really enjoyed the Lovecraft/cosmic horror vibes to this season, and how it makes you re-evaluate events in the first three seasons.

Best thing on Netflix for some time, glad I’ve not cancelled my subscription yet. Up to episode 7 now and it's good. Probably a 7.5/10 from me, which is good considering it has a lot to compete with. Not sure if it's the best thing for some time on Netflix, unless you mean a 'new' series. Umbrella Academy, Better call Saul and Stranger Things are all good. Resident Evil is decent. Older series I'd recommend (on Netflix) include Vikings, Kingdom of Heaven and Money Heist. To be fair, there aren't many series I haven't seen. I watch a lot of the weirder (stupid) ones but trying to keep it more mainstream here.

Severance on Apple TV is one of the best shows I've seen in years. Certainly the most original.

I don't want to watch the last episode of Better Call Saul because I don't want it to end.
I've been watching The Witcher - up to episode 6 which I think has been the best so far. It seemed slow to get started.
The Good Place is a fun easy-going comedy.

Admittedly these are the first films I’ve ever watched with sub titles.

If anyone is interested BBC4 are showing a complete re-run of the 1979 Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy starring Alec Guinness.
I really liked the Gary Oldman film, but the BBC TV series is a masterpiece with its atmospheric theme tune, title sequence , Who's Who of 1960s to 1980s British actors and convoluted storyline.
As well as the main stars there are some brilliant cameos from the likes of Ian Bannen, a wonderful Beryl Reid as an alcoholic retired intelligence clerk, Joss Ackland, Patrick Stewart and Sian Phillips.
It might be a bit slow with very little violence or action by modern standards (sometimes the only action is Michael Aldridge (as Alleline) cleaning, filling, tamping down and lighting his pipe or Smiley polishing his glasses on the end of tie) but for anyone who likes spy thrillers and hasn't seen the original, it is well worth a watch.

ITV3 recently showed the entire run of Cracker which I watched for the first time. The only criticism is Robert Carlyle's Scouse accent, he was better with a Sheffield one.
