Disappointing but good luck to him.
Getafe sixth in La Liga currently.

Certainly reads like we are trying to pretty forcefully usher him towards the exit door. Not exactly a strange thing to do with a player who seemingly wasn’t training particularly well. Considering that’s essentially why we pay him enough money to buy a small country. Where's that from?

Having watched the management teams reaction to Etebo warming up on Boxing Day it does not surprise me in the slightest he’s not involved Christ what morons. Huh? Management team asks players to warm up. Which isn’t exactly difficult. And they bollock him for not warming up properly, But they’re the morons? Explain please!

Real shame....not sure if this is soley down to Michael or if it's a club decision (ie, wages...although I wouldn't have though he'd have been on huge wages???), however, it's an unpopular decision!!!

Using that as a basis not to play our best midfielder. Seems pretty moronic to me. I doubt that was the only reason. But if that’s the attitude he displayed in front of the supporters who contribute a big chunk of his extortionate wages it makes you wonder how he’s been in training. Something definitely seems to have left MON unimpressed. TBH I’m tired of players taking our club for a ride and, as much as I rate him, if he’s taking the piss then he can pack his bags. MON seems to know what he wants and if Etebo and others won’t buy in I’m not surprised they’re being shifted.

Using that as a basis not to play our best midfielder. Seems pretty moronic to me. What's moronic is not warming up properly on a cold December day prior to playing a game of football. It's also disrespectful to his team mates, the management team and the club - and gives some credence to the comments about him not training properly. I think he's a class player but if he can't even be arsed to warm up properly he doesn't deserve a place on the bench and should go - which apparently is what's happened.

Using that as a basis not to play our best midfielder. Seems pretty moronic to me. No one rewards disinterest. Both Badou and Etebo seemed quite invested in Jones, perhaps they had enough when he left? Regardless, O’Neill mentioned he wasn’t training at the right level, and if he can’t even be arsed to warm up properly, why should he get on the pitch? It’s not like he was ever likely to contribute anything offensively either.

Which I think is a bad thing. They’re the best midfielders we had by a mile. Both should have been used as neither showed a disinterest where it matters.

We all know this "Loan with option to buy" is complete bollox. Can anyone remember any of our players going on a loan deal with option to buy never coming back. He’ll be back in the summer looking for another loan almost guaranteed. Wonder if Getafe are picking up his full wages?

I meant the team selections have been evident of that. With the transfers though, I think it’s fair as it’s what he knows. Although we seem to have terrible bad luck with Scottish footballers. So that’s off putting.

Like you say we’ve had too many players take this piss, if he was one of them, then goodbye. If not I guess it’s down to finances. We seem to be doing better without him, the last few weeks shows us that, and the pts column

I don’t give a crap where they’re from if they actually want to play and they have at least some level of competence. Two things which a lot of our recent players haven’t displayed.

One of the best players this season and we just loan him out!!
Ill trust MON knows what he is doing and maybe there are things going on behind the scenes.
But there is an underlying question that needs to be answered - does he only trust British players?
We know hard-working British players can only get you so far. We need to still look at the foreign transfer market

Double huh??!! Has he said this?? I think it’s pretty clear after the Brexit manager policy, we’re going down a Brexit player policy. Brexit is really unlikely to affect footballers. If you are earning well then getting a visa is pretty reasonable. Brexit will also have protections for current employers and further, does Etebo even have a European passport?

And it isn’t but our best left back is Dutch, our best midfielders were Senegalese and Nigerian and our best striker imo (and this one is very subjective I get) is Senegalese too. None have had a look in, which I find odd.

I don't like this, and again it shows how badly we're at transfers. We spend money on players like a drunken sailor, and then we send then away on loan. One thing is all the bad players we've bought and loan the out to someone who takes them, but now we also have to do the same with the few good buys.
