£2m tops I'd say or more likely another loan since no one will come near matching his wages. Meltdown imminent.

O'Neil supposedly wants running power and youth.
Etebo offers both.
Very odd all round this one.

Unfortunately it's a trait all of our recent managers seem to have, they say one thing and do the absolute opposite. Power and youth and not welded to a system according to O'Neill, in reality stuck with 4-3-3 that never worked for Rowett and he's repeating the same mistake with the same 2 wide men that made the system such a failure. Previously there was Nathan Jones promising us high intensity fast attacking football with a team to be proud of, look how that one turned out. Prior to that Paul Lamberts job interview he reckoned he'd seen us loads and knew what needed putting right, hence us signing a right back and midfielder, when 30,000 of us knew all we needed was a forward who could return a modest amount of goals to keep us up.

Dangerously bordering on a conspiracy theory or at best suggesting the recruitment process , is selecting those that talk but not walk

We really need an answer about where the hell he is.
We seemingly think it's a good idea to let Badou go, and basically make him persona non grata from October onwards just to save £500-750k in wages, all for the slim possibility that he'll go permanently for a few million in the summer.
But unless Etebo has similarly got something signed in blood and ready to roll on New Year's Day, it's unfathomable that we exile him 2 months before the window opens and start playing PDSL players in our midfield instead.
You don't stop playing your best players months before a transfer window on the off chance they could get an injury, however desperate for cash you are

If he isn't gone first day the transfer window opens, I'll be spitting blood. He needs to be playing NOW! Hope MON gets pounded with questions on his whereabouts from Radio Stoke and Signal until we get a proper answer.

Doesn't appear to be involved again. Must be off. I see Clucas and Jimmy have travelled as well. Hope they're fit enough to start. Clucas starting mildly offsets Etebo not being in the squad, and means Woods stays on the bench!

Doesn't appear to be involved again. Must be off. He's obviously very much available. But I haven't seen any serious links - apart from a loan to Hearts!

Having watched the management teams reaction to Etebo warming up on Boxing Day it does not surprise me in the slightest he’s not involved

On Instagram he's always putting photos on and where he is or in places like back home or London, doesn't seem that bothered about being in the first team

www.marca.com/futbol/getafe/2020/01/02/5e0de86322601d675e8b45ec.htmlGetafe signs the midfielder EteboOghenekaro Peter Etebo will be the first signing of Getafe in the winter market. The 24-year-old Nigerian midfielder will arrive on loan with a purchase option for the Stoke City, club in which he was after his departure from Las Palmas.Bordalás had asked Ángel Torres to sign a midfielder after Markel Bergara announced to the club the desire to retire due to the multitude of injuries. And the chosen one was Etebo, who this year had not had much prominence in the Stoke of the English Championship, but who performed at a high level in Primera with Paco Jémez in Las Palmas.Waiting for the visaThe Nigerian midfielder is on loan with a purchase option but is waiting to get the visa and officially announce its signing by Getafe. You will almost certainly not be able to play this Saturday against Real Madrid, but the idea is that it can be released in the Cup against Badalona next Saturday, January 11.

Certainly reads like we are trying to pretty forcefully usher him towards the exit door. Not exactly a strange thing to do with a player who seemingly wasn’t training particularly well. Considering that’s essentially why we pay him enough money to buy a small country.

Weird one. Dont think he's done anything to devalue himself so surely we must be looking to make some sort of profit. Can't see Getafe meeting what we paid for him let alone give us more money.
