We’ve got some right wankers amongst our support haven’t we Won 2 on the bounce and still they need somebody to slaughter Fuck off eh I didn’t think anyone bar McClean played what I’d class as well tbh. Powell though clearly is nowhere near match fit and needs to get that. He showed some neat touches and tried some stuff that others wouldn’t.

From what I have heard Powell is an arrogant show pony. A bloke that injures himself whilst out running at home. I believe he was happy to sign for Stoke no doubt for considerable wages for which we have had fuck all return

Overall it was a game akin to two bald blokes fighting over a comb. But we won that fight and that’s all that mattered.

What did you think of Edwards/Dioufs cameo today?

Diouf looked busy and has that knack of being in the right place at the right time. Always loved Mame and think he’s the best striker we have. Should be playing more.

I think Diouf could be a brilliant last 20 striker, let Gregory run the CBs ragged and get Dioufs positional awareness in there as a sub. Edwards was off the boil but I hope he sticks with him, he's still learning and is nothing less than exciting. Get Verlinden back into the fold and this team could really push on. McClean 9/10 for me today.

We all see the same game differently. For me, Powell had a poor game Saturday and should've been subbed at HT.

For a bloke who hasn't played in months AND who was playing in a position which isn't his favourite I thought he did fine.

He takes touches and does things other players wouldn't even consider, usually very cleverly. I don't think he'll start tonight after Saturday and his fragility but he's definitely worth a place in the team if he is fit.

We've got McClean out and you say Powell needs to build fitness, so there's an argument to play him, but I'd be happier with a stronger midfield three and Ince, Gregory and Diouf up top. I assume Etebo is still unfit and Clucas might not be ready to start so I'd like Badou with Allen and Woods myself.

He needs to get on the ball more whichever position he plays He seemed to do more of that as the game wore on (& the pace slowed) are we allowed,on here, to say he played OK? are 'wank' or 'brilliant' the only two options?

I think that was a 'careful' interview from MON re Powell in the Sent'nul. making it very clear that he expects more from him, whilst also acknowledging that he is off the pace.

We need to start him for a few weeks running, because with games behind him I genuinely think he’s comfortably our best player.
He’s a confidence player and needs games, so as long as he’s fit we need to give him that.
