Hopefully we're waiting for clearance of Surridge before we let them sign Gregory.😎

Players leaving threads are far longer than those we sign. Just realised have added to that but worth it to see him leave. Didn't work out. Way it goes

I agree he's not great but what I meant was until we signed Surridge we were a bit short in depth with Campbell injured and only really having Fletcher and Brown after selling Vokes. He can go now though.😎

* claps *
(With both relief and for the absolutely sterling work of the 'transfer out' department. If true of course.)

Another paid off.
How is the person who sanctioned these deals still in a job.

Great if true, if we lose the other 2 would it give us more wriggle room re: FFP?

Another paid off. How is the person who sanctioned these deals still in a job. Would you be up for Scholes vetoing MON's top targets, out of interest?

Another paid off. How is the person who sanctioned these deals still in a job. As he came on a free I guess it will only be a percentage of his salary? If he earns £12K per week, as indicated, and we decide to pay £4K and Sheffield £8K it still gives us more wiggle room, doesn't it?

A competent CEO sees the bigger picture and should have in depth knowledge of football matters. He should offer his alternative view and have a team " red teaming " these decisions

He should offer his alternative view and have a team " red teaming " these decisions And if that player then goes on to be a world beater, presumably no criticism comes his way then either? Sure the manager would love that. What you're talking about is a sporting director, which I agree would be a better direction for the club. But we don't have that, do we? That's not part of the CEO's brief? The club's model is to back the manager and let him dictate player recruitment. Scholes could go today but if we get in someone else in the same role with the same brief, nothing is going to change. Point your gun at the owners instead, as it's they who have the power to make those structural changes and it's they who aren't interested in doing it.

We might have to give him a pay off to cover the difference of course.

When Eidur Gudjonsson was at Fulham three different clubs ( w e we're one) we're contributing to his £90k a week salary when we signed Duberry Leeds we're still paying majority of his salary that's two Stoke related examples, goes on all the time, all over the place football finances are nothing if not bizarre

The only thing that would please me more than Gregory going is McLean leaving.
Useless twat. Just a pity he didn't sign for Derby.
