I know the house you are talking about but that's not me. I am guessing you have used that road while visiting the Isle of Wight festival.

Australian born and bred. Dad grew up in Stoke-On-Trent. I lived in Middlewich for 2 years when young when dad wanted to live back home in England. Saw a few games in the old Victoria Ground when we were there.

Born, bred and have lived in Dublin all my life. Terry Conroy in Waddos workingman's ballet sucked me in as an impressionable kiddo and have followed Stoke ever since, through thick and sometimes very thin.

Born and bred in Australia. Not melbourne but it's where I live now. Longest stay in stoke was at the Travelodge attached to the Toby carvery for 4 days.stayed at the hatcheries b&b in leek for a few days as well. Always found the local people very friendly and helpful when I visited.

Born in South London, Dad's family all Arsenal, Mum's family all Chelsea. First game I went to as a 6 yr old in 1970 was Arsenal v Stoke as my Dad tried to get me into the Arsenal fold! All I could talk about after that game was how good Stoke's number 8 was, despite it ending 0-0. Jimmy Greenhoff was my reason for starting to support Stoke and have never looked back since. It's been so much more interesting than Arsenal/Chelsea or any other club!

I am guessing you have used that road while visiting the Isle of Wight festival. haha yes mate. I was at the Festival 2 years ago and we used to wander down to the pub on the quayside every morning ( forget it's name ) for a fatboy breakfast! Hence passing that house. I was going to knock on the door and say hello but thought better of it as the locals probably hate the Festival goers with a vengeance, not that we personally are any trouble.

Born In Cambridge. My father was born in Newcastle, and brought up in Wolstanton. After being in Cambridge my Dad moved down to South London following the death of my Mum when I was three. Have been coming up to the Potteries since 1963. Hope I can do so for the next 25 years!

London/Essex man, Stoke fan since 1972, aged 7. Not the League Cup (although I remember watching and pleased to see us win) but Geoff Hurst signing for us was the clincher. Weirdly there was another Stoke fan in my secondary school. He liked Gordon Banks. Glory hunters.

Should I be the first to say I've never lived in Stoke or even Stoke-on-Trent, but I live in Newcastle-under-Lyme? Probably not. That'd be pedantic. Unless things have changed greatly since I was on Newcastle Council in the 70s it's not pedantic at all. You'd have to wash your mouth out if you said you came from Stoke. I was actually the Mayor of 'Castle in 74/75 ( at the age on 27, bizarre though that now seems to me all these years later). The High Constable, Arthur Ogden, often accompanied me to functions wearing his trilby hat. If we went 'out of the Borough' into Stoke ( which he regarded as akin to a foreign expedition) in the car on the way back, he always took his hat off at the exact point we crossed the boundary, visibly relaxed and said " we're back in the Borough now". Where was the boundary??? Out of interest??

I grew up in bora bora, french polynesia. I had no real link to Stoke until I saw a documentary on Tunstall when I was at school on the Island. I’ve been hooked ever since. I dream of visiting Stoke one day, probably via a giant sea turtle.

Lived in Stone during the early part of my life, now live in Stafford hence my username 😂. My late Grandad and my Dad started bringing me to games around 16 years ago at the age of 9. Nothing will ever beat watching Stoke get promotion and then watching that first Premier League home game with my Grandad. Fantastic memories.

Hats off to everyone who doesn’t / hasn’t lived here but still follows the Potters. Some of us had no choice- taken to watch by parents ( possibly as punishment for being naughty) and then ( while I don’t subscribe to “it’s in your blood”) it’s either follow the Potters or have no team- the Trainspotters and the Great Unwashed are never an option to anyone who is not one of The Walking Dead.

Well it doesn't matter at all. I would expect that most Stokies that have never lived "in the Stoke conurbation" probably have ancestors that have. It is a bit of a mind twister though, to understand why anyone else would choose us to support.

Was brought up in Wolverhampton and my step-dad was a Stokie and took us to every game before we knew any better (so glad he did or I'd probably have been a doghead yam-yam. I live in Oxford now, my brother in London and all our kids are mad Stokies. Had season tickets on and off for years but never actually been to Stoke apart from the Vic and Bet365. I got some numpty having a pop at us last year in the boothen end saying that we're not real fans because we're not local and to fuck off and watch Oxford (erm no ta). Given that we have a 5 hour round trip to get to home games and have done it for over 30 years, I'd say we've earned our stripes as honorary Stokies and probably more of fan than those that just hop on a bus and are home at 5.30 after another home defeat. May I use my 9,000th post to salute you as a true Stoke fan and in my book a true Stokie. Ignore the numpties of this world, all clubs have them, and unfortunately we have our fair share. I have never lived in Stoke, but was raised in 'castle, a couple of roads from Mike Pejic, and apart from going to football in Stoke town (first time in the 1950s), banked in Tunstall (because dad did, you did that sort of things in those days), was dragged round the shops in Hanley each Saturday morning (because you did that sort of things in those days), train spotted at Longport, bought records in Sherwins, went to The Place, the Cinebowl (for bowling and Elvis films), the Crystal, and left at 18 and have hardly ever been back except for football and to visit family.
