And ideally Collins should have been a regular this season. Defending one fuck up with another doesn’t do it for me sorry. I'd love to see your starting 11 play... Federici Edwards, Souttar, Collins, ? ? Ince, sorenson, clucas, verlinden, Powell Diouf It would be a laugh a minute...if you could remember what day we were supposed to be playing That team looks decent tbf bar the goalie and I’d have Shawcross or Indi in there. Souttar shouldn’t have been loaned at all this season.

When Collins is barely getting a game? He's better off playing first-team football, surely. He should be well prepared whatever division we end up in next season. And ideally Collins should have been a regular this season. Defending one fuck up with another doesn’t do it for me sorry. I'm not defending anything, as if Collins was in the first-team, Souttar wouldn't be so is better off at Fleetwood either way. Obviously the manager thinks other options are more suitable than Collins and hopefully he's priming him for regular action next season. Who do you think is most ready for the Stoke defence, Collins or Souttar (not both)?

He would have had plenty of game time too so that’s that part of argument void imo. I said at the start of the season I’d have been happy with Shawcross Indi Collins Souttar as the 4 CBs and nothing has made me think that was the wrong to say back then. Indeed it’s only been enhanced with what’s gone on.

Souttar's confidence could've been shot by now, but instead he's having a confidence-building season as a key part of a team challenging for promotion. Shawcross was injured at the start of the season and has remained so, so those four would've left the inexperienced Collins and Souttar as the CBs or BMI there with a big hole at left-back. I'm not going to criticise O'Neill for not signing a left-back either. It would've been ideal, but the right target mustn't have been available at the right price.

It’s a long hard season and we’d have been down to 3 CBs. He would have got game time. He had a confidence boosting loan last season too. We signed a player from the same league he did well instead of using him. Great recruitment. Yeah we needed to sign a left back in the summer. It’s the tale of fucked up recruitment and managers scared of their own shadow.

Souttar def not good enough, slow cumbersome, let Joey have him It depends how good he is at reading the game, he can make up for his lack of pace if he knows what he's doing. As Bob Paisley used to say "The first five yards are in your head"

I agree with Bayern Souttar got his experience last season This season he and Collins should have been part of the pool of Cb's used.

I agree with Bayern Souttar got his experience last season This season he and Collins should have been part of the pool of Cb's used. Having never seen Souttar play I can’t make a comment other than....I would have expected (possibly wrongly) that he has been monitored on numerous occasions during his loan period by SCFC scouts/coaches and if he has it tells a story of its own. I fully understand and concur with other supporters wanting “home grown” talent to become an integral part of the 1st team structure. Perhaps in the case of Souttar the time isn’t quite right, or the professionals are undecided whether he can make the step up. Whatever happens in the future I for one will wish him all the very best in his professional career where ever that may be.

Loved at Fleetwood. I live around the corner and fans tell me he is playing really well. Fleetwood are also on a crazy run of form, currently in the playoffs and a few points off top!

After this season he either needs to be back with us and one of four centre backs jostling for position, or he needs to be sold. If he can't aspire to be better than Batth then he should give up!

Baath should be nowhere near a start next season no matter what league we are in. Awful, awkward, non playing centre half.

The few times I have seen him play the phrase "turning circle of a Diplodocus" came to mind. One big unit and looks like he could hold his own in a Ray Harryhausen film. If he's learned his trade in a tougher league paired with a mammal he might have a future at this level.
